When you turn off the calorie estimation on fitbit then does it still sync the calories actually burned from your exercise to MFP?

I've noticed the same thing with fitbit. If I exercise in the morning then MFP tells me I can eat a lot more than I know I can to maintain my weight but by the next day the 'extra' calories have dropped down to a moderate amount. It seems to be assuming that I'm going to be that active all day and then it corrects that at…

I agree with you about people feeling it's okay to tell you that you're too skinny when they would never tell you that you were too fat. Why would one be any more socially correct than the other? Recently I went to the doctor and the nurse who had never seen me before said 'ah... you so skinny'. I am pretty sure she would…

I agree with everyone's suggestions here. I know that walking has worked for me. I also am doing the exercises for older adults on the CDC website. These are easy to do and help build your strength up for more vigorous exercises. http://www.cdc.gov/physicalactivity/growingstronger/

For the first 12 months of my diet I kept my calories to 1250 a day. That was hard, but I was able to lose 34 pounds during the year. I bumped it up to 1440 (maintenance) a few weeks ago as I'm on a plateau. I had stopped losing weight at 1250 a day, but I have only lost 1/2 pound in 23 days at 1440 a day. Everyone here…

Where do you find your Selenium with Vitamin A, C & E? Online?

I'm glad I found this thread. I'll ask my doctor about the ArmourThyroid also. The Levoxyl isn't working for me.

Good grief I need to jump on this boat as I am in the same situation. Stuck at 130 lbs. What the heck? I also tried upping the calories to 1400 and it seems that I am still stuck at 130 for 3 weeks now. Very frustrating. I'm going to change my weight training and see if that helps. Keep us posted if you find anything that…

Wow! I'm very impressed that you lost so much weight so quickly. It has taken me almost a year to lose 34 pounds and I still have 5 more to go. My thyroid is underactive though so I struggle to lose. I too have more energy though and overall feel so much better. It's like getting yourself back after thinking that you would…

I am going to try this and see if it works for me. Thanks for the information.

I'm almost 5'5" and started out at 164 lbs. I am now down to 136 and trying to get to 127. It is slow going though and has taken me 8 months to get this far. I do have an underactive thryroid. I walk at least 10,000 steps every day and stick as closely as I can to the 1200 calories a day. Get yourself a pedometer to count…

Wow! Truly amazing story. You do look wonderful!

Thanks for the tip. I have been struggling with a plateau and was terrified of cutting below 1200.

I'm in another one of those 'stalls' where increasing your exercise just doesn't seem to do any good. Every time I hit that plateau it's so frustrating. url=http://www.myfitnesspal.com/weight-loss-ticker] Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Nutrition Facts For Foods

Does it sound incredibly lame to say that my goals for February are to lose 2 pounds? It has taken me 8 months to lose 25 pounds. Is that too slow? I am eating 1200 calories a day and trying to walk 10,000 steps and 2 pounds a month is all I can muster now...

Agree that walking is the best exercise and you don't need any special clothes or equipment to do it.
