I almost always go over the recommended sugar intake. They say this turns to fat, so should be regulated. I'd be interested in other people's info and help. BUMP!

'Poached'. I put them (two) in the microwave and cook them until they are still slightly runny and then put them on one slice of toast with a little Flora Light. Yum!

Simply, you have to NET 1200 cals a day to be healthy. If you eat 1200 cals, but burn 1000, you are netting 200 cals a day, so you have to eat back the 1000 calories you burned during exercise. Imagine your body is a car. You fill your car with 1200 fuel and you need 1200 fuel to go from A - B. Now imagine you take a…

Wow, how are you surviving? If I only net 300 cals, I feel tired and grumpy. Heck, netting 1200 cals usually leaves me tired and grumpy. Lol! And the headaches! Don't get me started on those! Try to eat back more calories, hun. Eat high calorie things, but that are good for you, like nuts and seeds, avocados, oily fish etc.

It shouldn't affect weight loss, but might feel uncomfortable when you're trying to sleep. Some people find sleeping on a full belly helps them, but others, like me, worry too much about how much bed my stomach needs when I've eaten too late. Lol!

Ok, just seen that you only have 5lbs to lose and without knowing how tall you are, I would say you need to eat a lot more than 1200 cals. But if you're going to stick to 1200, definitely eat back your exercise calories!
-
I never did. I stuck to 1200 and then did exercise. AND I WAS MISERABLE! Sure, at first I lost 24lbs over the year, but I was grumpy and tired all the time and hated my life. Then, over Christmas, I put on 7lbs, just like that *clicks fingers*. So I started again and started eating 1200 cals and doing no exercise. The loss…

Sent you a request.

Easiest thing to help is stay away from the carbs. Noodles, rice, spring rolls and stick to the meats. Or just have what you want! You're allowed a treat every now and then!
-
That makes sense. But the last time I tried the shred, I couldn't do it with the weights. Surely this would be counterproductive?
-
Add me if you want!
-
I wish I could lose mine.

Anyone?

You have to try what's best for you. If you're working out and only consuming 1200 cals a day and are feeling good, energetic, not tired and grumpy and are still losing weight, then stick to what you're doing. If you are grumpy and not losing weight, something needs to change and I suppose you could do one of the…

HAHAHA! 400 cals over 1200? That's not a cheat! That's sensible, unless it was pure fatty stuff. As some others have said, don't beat yourself up. I have found that I've been eating more and still losing weight because my body couldn't handle 1200 cals a day and so I would not lose anything. And as others have said, a…

Well, I am neither a biologist nor a kinesiologist, hence the reason I asked. This is a support website where people share their knowledge and experience rather than point out people's obvious lack of knowledge.

Oh...my...god! I LOVE these! I had forgotten they existed... *adds to list of potential choccie things to eat*

The only way to get rid of belly fat is to cut down on carbs and other fatty foods and have lean proteins etc. Belly fat is the hardest to lose too in any case. And lifting and cardio will help to tone muscles, but that six pack will still be under the layer of fat, which is stubborn!

Me too! I found long time ago that Wednesday is my 'light' day, so I started recording my weight loss on Wednesdays, mornings, after I wake up and been to the loo. I may weigh myself other times of the day and other days for 'interest', but Wednesday morning is my day. The scales are put in the exact same place on the…

Not so much scared as thinking I'll look like a complete idiot. If I could jog or run like some others, then I would definitely do that. I admire some people's dedication to their training/exercise!

I accepted your friend request! ou'r almost my twin in terms of actual goal, height and current weight! :flowerforyou:

Oh, and I'm from Surrey, if that makes any difference.

Oh no, I am not expecting that at all! It's just that I can't really do crunches or plank or whatever for very long yet, and I thought doing this might help a bit.

This. If you do not do a labour intensive job, such as baggage handling/gardening/cleaning etc, you would set your activity level to sedentary and log any extra exercise you do, such as walking the dog, going for a swim etc. If you want to log your exercise activity at work, get a step counterand wear it from waking up to…

Don't bother. Most of the time they don't work. If you eat at least 5 times a day (3 main meals and 2 snacks) you shouldn't need appetite suppressents.

YAY!

Wow! @CE Sarver, you look amazing! Anyone else?
