  • "I carry my weight well. You can't really tell that I'm XXXX." or "I can't see myself being any smaller than I am now. I don't think I would like it." Man, I was about waist-deep in denial.
  • Did you both just have dinner or is it just you that had dinner? Cause if we both just had dinner, I don't think I'd be making anything else for a while. Even if they are crying. Yeah, when I have kids I'll probably lose my hair in the first few years...;)
  • Used to live in the country. Stuck in the city now. Have always driven a car though ;)
  • I'm not a parent, but I do remember being 12 and being a little self conscious about my weight. My parents really didn't push me to be active as I entered my teenage years, it's something that I wished that they had, even if it was just a gentle coaxing. Not everyone just wakes up one day and decides that they need to get…
  • I also am interested in hearing an answer to this. I know the fitbits are pretty sensitive when it comes to counting driving as regular steps. Where do you attach the fitbit? It could be that it's bouncing more because it's on a loose piece of clothing as opposed to be relatively strapped down (like to your wrist).
  • Oh man, I'm a huge gamer. Steam, PSN, a little bit of Live (although not recently I'm afraid). I also write for a horror-gaming enthusiast website, so scary games are my favourite. Feel free to add me :D
  • I don't know what it is, I get a dozen of these sponsored posts in my Facebook feed about losing weight (doesn't everybody?). Half of the pictures that are shown are of completely different people. I enjoy point that out to people who seem like they're buying it. I imagine that the mayonnaise would do nice things for your…
  • Drinking a Pepsi for breakfast. Ugh. Come to think of it, that wasn't so long ago.
  • Enya - Orinoco Flow.
  • Cosmo regularly publishes articles that are designed to hurt instead of help. Have you ever read some of their sex tips to help break the bed? They're either a) not physically possible b) too complicated to even be remotely worth it or c) Sounds horribly painful. There was one where...y'know what? NSFW. Or anything for…
  • I'm currently working through some shin splint issues of my own. I probably need to get some better running shoes, but that's not exactly in the budget at the moment. I've found that working on toe-raises, even when you're 'not' suffering from shin splints has helped. Also icing the area before working out, after working…
  • You can add me too. Haven't been here for long, but enjoying the community so far!
  • Poutine from BK used to be a guilty pleasure. Too many calories, too much pain...ugh.
  • Maybe I missed this, but is this something that you've talked to these people about? Has it happened more than once? It could be that these people (while very classless) genuinely do not know that they are offending people with their talk. Believe it or not, there are people out there that do not take the consideration of…
  • I know you want something on the inexpensive side, but if you're willing to spend a little bit of money, the Fitbits are pretty decent. Notwithstanding the recent issues with the Fitbit Force (allergic reactions prompting recalls) of course. Fitbits that you can wear on your hip or even the inside of your bra are…
  • I used to work at a grocery store - temptation at its finest. Right now, at some of the offices I stop at, there's some free food hanging out, but it's always small stuff. So long as you don't overdo it, I think it's ok to grab a timbit every once in a while.
  • It depends. If you're just a calorie-in/calorie-out kind of person, then it might work for you. But I wouldn't necessarily drink a ton of the stuff just because it's not the best thing for you to drink (same with Splenda, the stuff in Coke Zero). Making the switch from regular to diet pop helped me drop four pounds when I…
  • Haha! I don't even mind spiders all that much. Unless they're on me. Then all bets are off.
  • I know where you're coming from. I have a serious appetite for unhealthy food. It's what got me here in the first place. Try identifying what kind of healthy foods you like. The next time you're at the grocery store, if you're in a position to do so, buy them. It's my belief that if you cut something out of your diet…
  • Hi! I used the app for like a few hours a few months (years?) ago. Looking to shed some pounds. I think supportive, like-minded individuals is a great thing. Plus, I like chatting with people. Feel free to add me too. :D
  • I start work at 6PM, but I generally don't have time (or the desire, really) to eat anything until around 9 or 10PM. Sometimes I get as late as 12PM without having eaten anything. I can always tell when I need to because I start feeling tired or in extreme cases, feeling stupid. It's at that point that I know that I've…
  • I'm a security supervisor and patrol driver. I work 1800 til 0600hrs. Fun on a bun!
  • The zombie apocalypse scenario really doesn't emphasize the cardio thing as much as it should. I mean on The Walking Dead, these people should all be ripped with how much running they do ;)
