  • Officially starting tomorrow!! I've done all the workouts at least once, and looking for a big transformation since I'm going to pay attention to the nutritional guide too! Doing a video diary to document the journey. Add me if you want!!!
  • Note that 6.2 miles is nowhere NEAR 26.2. While 10k is endurance to an extent, its nowhere near a full marathon. That being said, if this is your FIRST marathon, or you've not gotten at least a solid base of a year or more running long distances with this diet under your belt, don't even try it. You didn't really say above…
  • Saw that, but figured that was people starting on the 15th
  • Oh and congrats on the weight loss!!! That is AWESOME no matter how you do it!!
  • No, no, and no. Fat is terribly inefficient at being converted to glycogen for fuel for your body. If you are training for a marathon you will need those carbs for energy, and you will use up every bit of them. You can do it but you will probably be miserable.
  • If you have questions about any of the programs feel free to hit me up, I've done most of them and am about to start Insanity MAX 30
  • P90X is awesome....its what kickstarted my fitness. P90X 2 is great but LOONG. Too much focus on self myofascial release in my opinion. It's good for you, but it seems its almost the focus. Definitely uses the NASM model of training.
  • I'm a personal trainer and beachbody coach and will be starting a free workout fit club in my community starting in January once it clears with the city manager. Hopefully it will not only keep me motivated, but also inspire and get others off their butt and moving!
  • Awesome!!! I did an unboxing video of my own, and I will be doing a video diary of the whole process!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-Ne7AgV02k I need to add you to the group on facebook in order to do the whole $100 best transformation, do you have that?
  • Thanks! I don't have much experience selling I've been an engineer all my life, so that'll be tough, but I think I can muck up something about interpersonal relations and a positive attitude.
  • Thanks everyone!! I appreciate the feedback! Anyone able to help me construct a decent resume with zero experience? LOL. I've been shadowing a guy at a gym for a bit, a couple days here and there for a couple hours or so while I was studying for the NASM, and for some reason I feel weird about dropping a resume off to that…
  • I took an NASM Personal Training Certification exam and PASSED.....soooo.......I'm getting drunk instead of working out today :D :D
  • Those are generally fake reviews That HRM overestimates by like 3-400 calories and is really off and on when it wants to connect. Spend $60 and get a Polar FT4 on eBay
  • I was sent to the HealthyParks department of the park and sent off an email today! I'm looking at possibly 2 days a week....ALL fitness levels on one day, and then a free beginners running group another day. Either Sunday morning or Saturday evening. It's a two fold thing. 1.) It promotes a healthy lifestyle, which is…
  • Still trying to get in with the park groups.....have been moved around the chain a bit. May see if a local mall that has nothing in it (Cincinnati Mills) will be good as well. There is a great staging area inside there.
  • That's just it.....if asked, I know the meaning of the jargon. However, I can't repeat the jargon in a definition of the term. I have a hard time recalling it to speak it. If spoken to, or asked what neuromuscular efficiency is, I can explain it.
  • bump
  • Combat is pretty low impact. The best way to do Combat if you're worried about impact is to not do the jump kicks or knees and to do the kicks low until you have a good stable foundation leaning on one leg.
  • I'm very happy there is some interest in this! There doesn't seem to be a lot of open workout type things in the area!! Most of what I know are the BeachBody style workouts, from beginner to intermediate to advanced, so that's what a lot will be based off of.....but don't worry, I'm NOT a coach and I won't be trying to…
  • Dayton may be a pretty good area downtown on some weeks. I'm working with the Hamilton County Parks services to maybe get something together on a weekly or bi-weekly basis in the evenings.
  • Thanks everyone! Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. My biggest goal would be to teach group classes, either in our out of a gym, it doesn't matter, there's just something about getting a group of people together of all different fitness levels and going through a workout I think the experience I'm getting shadowing…
  • Try bumping calories up to 14-1500 for a month, see what happens
  • Could be your diet, could be that you need to be more intense in your exercise, could be a lot of things. What types of exercise are you doing and what does your diary look like as far as food goes? 9.5lbs is around 1/2 pound a week on average (I think) and that's not too shabby at all. Did this come off all at once in…
  • I actually have done that for one client so far....there wasn't anything really spectacular about what he did, but he got the sale even after she said $99 was too much for a block of 4 1/2 sessions......and then drove off in a brand new Mercedes LOL.
  • That right there is the biggest thing I'm going to have to learn. I'm good at sales in a retail environment, but this is a whole different animal.
  • I go as hard as I can go, but it's definitely not as fun as Insanity or Asylum (did I just say those were fun?). My HR doesn't get anywhere near what it does with Insanity even pushing H.A.M I do replace the Warrior Upper Body with Asylum Vol 2 Upper Elite (holy hell that's tough). I am starting week 4 in Combat Ultimate…
  • Personal Trainer, sorry, I realized that after I posted PT is also Physical Therapist. Thanks ninerbuff! Cookie cutter is what I'm striving to NOT be....everyone is different and will need different things to meet their goals. I'm working with one woman now (who knows I'm not certified but doesn't care) who wants to lose…
  • I've managed to hit that magic 1,000 calorie burn in one hour TWICE this year.....Insanity MAX Cardio, and Insanity Asylum Gameday. Let me tell you, I had to WORK WORK WORK for that number. Now when I run, that's another story. I run 8 miles, I burn 1,000 calories in 75 minutes....when I ran my marathon, I burned like…
  • One....like other people were shocked to find out....there's an association for the acceptance of fat people?? weird....no worse than NAMBLA though, there's an organization for everything. Two...Charles is being Charles, hell no he shouldn't apologize!
  • Now THATS beast mode!!! Great job man!!! You've worked hard as hell to get those results!!!
