I did both programs for roughly 3 months each, and I lost maybeeee 5 pounds total. With P90X, I was so darn hungry I was eating like a starved person, and it wasn't always healthy. I was cognizant of that with Insanity, but still didn't lose weight. However, I looked sexy as hell and dropped 3 pant sizes and went from a XL…

I wanted to suggest having a sweet snack everyday? Also, there's ways to take fruits and make them into lower sugar/carb desserts. I like to cut up and apple, sprinkle some honey and cinnamon and bake it in the oven. It is a tasty, guilt free snack for me.

5'10" SW: 270 CW: 199 GW: 185. That may seem high to people, but that puts me smack dab in the middle of the overweight category on the BMI calculator, and I feel great at that weight. Puts me in a size 8-10 pant, medium shirt.

I've done the couch to 5k program for many years and it has worked for me successfully. Just try to ease into it, because y ou dont want to overtrain and risk injury. Speaking from MY own experience, that being overweight and overtraining has caused me more issues with pain and muscle strains, especially in the knee.

I'm in the same boat. I get two 15 minute breaks so I walk during those breaks or go up and down the steps (I work in a hospital). I get my 10k a day.

Only a week? Not bad at all. I have gone 4-6 weeks without a loss, then suddenly I drop 4-6 pounds. Also, sodium isn't bad for you. Your body needs it to function. The problem becomes when you consume an overabudant amount of it in the 3000's that you will notice water retention. You keep doing a great job!

Yes, my favorite thread. The ones that come from people who are students or interns in a healthcare field that tell us what is good/bad.

Wow you look great! Congrats!

Lower carb eating has changed my life, and I really mean it. I have PMDD and on a high carb diet but staying within 1500 calories a day, I wasn't losing any weight and was binging and purging. I had extreme food cravings, would eat "all the things", feel guilty and purge. then the cravings came back. I am working with a…

Beef and noodles doesn't seem like a very healthy meal plan for every night. Trust me, I'm not judging, because I have a 3 year old picky eater. But, that being said, it is easier to start NOW for healthy lifestyle choices than years down the road. At my house, there is always a vegetable and protein at the dinner table. I…

LOLs. I think this is a reminder that just because someone is certified in one completely separate field, doesn't make them experts in another.

Thank you so much for the support! I'm glad someone else relates to how I feel :( Knowing that I need to be patient helps, even if I'm not a patient person.

Yes, I have been pretty stressed. My daughter is just coming out of colicky stage, so she has been screaming for hours on end from 2 weeks till about now. Also, my husband and I just started a business and I work 40 hours a week.
-
Nope, not birth control yet. It sounds like I just need to be more patient. Thank you

My NSV was yesterday. I have a 6 week old who likes to scream for hours, but going for a car ride quiets her down and puts her to sleep. I am driving aimlessly for 30 minutes with my toddler and infant, and passed so many fast food and ice cream joints. Finally I stopped at an ice cream joint and only got ice cream for my…

I like darker hair, brown eyes, curvy (not skinny nor super overweight), with an epic *kitten*. My *kitten* is flat as a door!

And op, if you want to friend me or pm me for questions, I'd be more than happy to assist. Good luck and congrats! Edited to add: I was doing Jillian Michaels 30 ds and running pre pregnancy. Since pregnant, I do a prenatal barre pilates combined with biking. I look more tone in my chest, arms, and back before pre…

I am HIPPOing because I'm a lazy f*cker. First off, listen to your OB's recommendations. With my first pregnancy, I was 10 pounds overweight, but the moment I got pregnant, I ate whatever I wanted, stopped tracking on MFP, stopped working out. I gained 70 pounds. I am currently 38 weeks with my second. I started at 22…

I think you have very good points. She is plus size, defined by how plus sized is set. Who gives a flying f***? At my goal weight, I am a size 10/12 in a Medium shirt, and I'm fine with this. I feel sexy as hell, and I am healthy to my doctor.. But am I considered plus size? You bet I am. And that is okay. Who I am is not…

Starting weight: 222 Current weight: 238 I'm 37 weeks today. Sitting at a 16 pound weight gain, which makes me happy since midwife wanted me to gain a max of 20. I am losing weight the last few days, so that might mean labor is coming soon.

I might be weird but I just set my calories for the 1600-1800 range depending on what trimester (1st I set it at 1600, and now in the 3rd I'm at 1800). I DO eat back my excercise calories. But for me... The weight gain is not related to how much I eat, but what I eat. I can stay under 1800 calories, but if I eat a lot of…

You have changed. Through your journey to be healthy, your priorities have changed to a healthier lifestyle. If you aren't sexually attracted to her and she has no interest in changing her health, time to move on. You can't change her. You would benefit from someone that has similar priorities and goals as you do.

34 weeks and 17 pound gain so far. Ive been logging and have my calories set to 1700.
