  • Here's a 3 veggie dish I'm going to make for dinner featuring carrots, celery, and onion! http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/emeril-lagasse/carrot-ginger-soup-recipe/index.html I'm opting for a bit more seasoning, and will use yogurt instead of sour cream.

  • Very interesting question. I have a girl friend who is very petite and has the same problem. I have two websites to offer as a way to judge what is the 'correct' goal weight for yourself: http://www.cockeyed.com/photos/bodies/heightweight.html Has pictures for both men and women http://www.mybodygallery.com/ Women only.…
  • I just got back from my artist's retreat. Up a bit on weight, but wasn't tracking calories, drinking enough water or exercising. Back to the grind this week. Posting my numbers and updating my ticker: SW - 192.5 GW - 172 (Dec 25) Week 1 - 191 (Aug 22) Week 2 - 194.8 (Aug 29) Week 3 - 192.4 (Sep 5) Week 4 - 191.6 (Sep 12)…
  • I'm back from my artist retreat. I had a great time and didn't go crazy with food until the very end. I ate my usual breakfast daily, tried to eyeball my portions for lunch, and tended to graze a bit for dinner. I didn't keep up with my water intake too well, or do any regular exercise. I ate a box of Good & Plenty candies…
  • looks good, thanks for the post
  • I'm off to Port Townsend tomorrow morning. I hope to be logging in, but I won't weigh in until Monday next week.

  • Looks like everyone is making good progress this week. Yay!
  • Nikki, that's a good description. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but there was no denying something funny was going on. Good practice in interviewing and negotiation I guess... BTW, I read the rules on the McDonald's Monopoly game. If you still want to go, I'd get either iced tea or the oatmeal. Ideally…
  • Thanks for the tip!
  • *Progress towards week of 10/23 -10/24 update* House Spirit (post ) - +1 Food (no junk food) - +0 - uhh, not paying attention. Corn tortilla chips at the restaurant are definitely junk food. • ScarletDawn, which DVD(s) do you like best, that sounds like fun exercise. -Gwen
  • If you missed the post on my page, I'm not taking the job I first interviewed for on 10/10. Too much drama, and that was just to get them to make me a formal offer. They wanted me to walk out on my current job, wouldn't answer my basic employment questions, the recruiter actually lied to me twice, gave me misinformation on…
  • Last week's challenge: My challenge for last week turned out to be getting through the week. If you missed the post on my page, I'm not taking the job I first interviewed for on 10/10. Too much drama, and that was just to get them to make me a formal offer. They wanted me to walk out on my current job, wouldn't answer my…
  • It's not easy, and it hurts. I found solace in finding other divorcees (women and men) who had gone through the same experience. If they could get through it, so could I. That's all I could focus on. I spent quite a few hours in bed crying and staring at the ceiling. Eventually that got old. There are resources online and…
  • I usually cook it in boiling water, drain it, run cool water over it, drain and squeeze out the extra water and then chop it up to mix in with roasted red pepper, corn kernels, chopped onion, and a bit of Tony Chachre's cajun seasoning. yum!
  • Anyone want to come by and help me plant tomorrow? I literally filled my car to bursting with rhodies, azaleas, dogwood, ninebark, mahonia, dwarf skimmia, and more...
  • Busy day on the Olympic peninsula. Tomorrow will be busy planting rhododendrons.
  • I thought I saw you while I was out wandering off track myself. The past couple weeks have been emotionally stressful because of my job interviews. I kept logging my food, but my exercise has suffered. My progress has slowed, but I'm still here. Thanks to all my MFP friends for hanging in there with me.
  • ooh..Action on the Pottermore Insider blog, They just sent out a request for a beta survey. Usually that's one of the last checks before a software update. I'm hoping registration opens soon! http://insider.pottermore.com/
  • My thoughts are with you and your family Beth.
  • Argh!!! That means my chocolate is off limits next week.
  • Happy Thursday!
  • Happy Wednesday Ravenclaws!
  • Wifi If I had a business need, I'd get the 3G and take the expense as a tax deduction. I haven't needed it. There are some apps that take advantage of the GPS,feature, which would make it kind of cool to use Google Earth while traveling, but I haven't needed or wanted it.
  • I've had my iPad 3 since May. It's super for traveling. It's great for email and web browsing. I carried my online books, PDFs of airport maps, travel guides, and more on the iPad, I didn't require 24/7 connectivity. I only wish there was a decent photo archive/management solution available. Around the house I use the…
  • Ok, who came up with the idea for balls of chocolate cake with chocolate icing, dipped in white chocolate, and then rolled in chocolate sprinkles? That's not fair. The food holidays are coming up, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, volunteer activities. They all involve food, and more often than not, my trigger…
  • I've been there this past week. Last week my boyfriend's birthday included several foods I haven't eaten in months, pasta, wine, ice cream, and cake. I've struggled for the past several days to get back on track. I committed to logging my food. Not to punish myself, but primarily to stay in the habit. Maybe as a bit of…
  • I haven't been well focused this week. Stayed the same weight wise 187.2lbs. I have a second round of interviews scheduled for tomorrow (Monday) so we'll see what happens next.
