Dropped everything to move with just what was in my savings to a big city to live with a man I'd known 4 months and start a new life. It was initially a roommate living arrangement, and I got my own place after 11 months. A year later, I asked him to move in with me, this time for good. It's been the one big risk…

Well played, sir. Sometimes I seriously appreciate your sarcasm.

Heavy weights.

Me too.

You do not have to watch your macros to lose weight.

If I did that, what the hell would I eat for breakfast? :flowerforyou:

^^^ Starting this program tonight. I've been lifting a while, but I'm looking to get stronger. I wish I had started with this because it's dead simple.

I'm 35 and child free by choice. I always joke that my biological clock needs batteries.

Wow, you eat a lot of salt. Start tracking it and cutting back. It sounds like you might have edema. I'd go back to the doctor and ask to dig a little deeper.

When I wanted to add some new stuff to my recipe arsenal, I picked up some McCormick Inspirations spice kits. The recipes use mostly real food, and they're easy to healthify. I think the chicken tikka masala is my favorite. I use half and half instead of real cream, etc.

Learn as much as you can about good nutrition, and learn to cook.

Grassfed beef often does. It contains a trans fat that's actually pretty healthy for you.

Yeah. Megan Fox. When I want expert advice on weight loss, that's who I think of first. Sorry to be rude, but consider your source. Get hormone free or organic dairy if you're worried about it.

We try to do meal planning every Wednesday. We plan for a week. Calories are not really a consideration in the planning. (I have a standard arsenal of recipes that are not high cal, and I introduce stuff occasionally, but I'll typically enter it in the recipe calculator before I cook it if I'm worried it's high cal.) I…

Typically, 20. Sometimes 40. This depends on how many cups of coffee I have. If I drink something like an ale or a glass of wine, I treat it like food.

And I could leg press you.

Yes, this is one of my biggest problems. Sitting all day makes my hips stiff. Plus I have a bit of joint pain anyway since I developed thyroid disease years ago. It doesn't stop me, but it does make it hard to get down into a good squat sometimes. In fact, just dealt with this Saturday. My trainer recommends lots of…

It happens to everyone.

Check out bountifulbaskets.org. You get a pretty good chunk of produce for cheap. Also, they offer organic baskets in some areas as well as bread, extra veggie packs, nuts, etc.

Eating clean is not a diet. It's a lifestyle in which you choose to put un-junked food in your body with an eye toward health. Not really a weight loss technique.

Saturday I hit 95lbs on my dead lifts, which means tomorrow night I'll be in triple digits.
-
Just bread by itself? Yup.

No, I would not weigh, etc. However, if my doctor took me off my diuretic he and I would have some serious words.

Sketti. Boil noodles, brown beef, throw it all together with sauce. Voila. Or tacos. Brown meat with seasonings, throw on tortillas with a little cheese.

I started lifting almost a year ago. My skin is green, I regularly tear out of my shirts, and I'm prone to bouts of intense anger. *nods* :frown:

I am proud to have this lady on my FL. :flowerforyou:

Ooooo yes. This too. Or seared. *drools*

I switched to albacore recently. SO meaty and so much higher in protein! Some times I forego the mayo and relish (I'm a sweet relish girl) and instead just mix in some Mrs. Dash Lemon Pepper. That's seriously tasty, especially if you like lemon on your fish.

Craft beer. Seriously, the occasional ale won't kill you. Just don't chug a six pack every night. :drinker:
