I've learned to stay FAR away from the scale when my stupid Aunt Flo decides to make her monthly uninvited visit! It's just not worth the head trip. When my stomach starts to bloat I skip my weekly weigh-in and just put it out of my mind until it's over.

I did Weight Watchers online until a friend of mine told me about this site. It is so much less confusing than WW and you can't beat the price! I've been in maintenance mode for almost a year now and I LOVE this site! Welcome and good luck! :)

Either don't eat there or try to find a similar restaurant with nutritional info and overestimate the calories just to be safe! An extra work-out the day you plan on eating out wouldn't hurt either! Good luck. :)

When I was still trying to lose I had it set at 1200 and ate back all of my exercise calories (between 300-800 extra per day). Now that I'm in maintenance mode I have it set at 1640 and still eat back my exercise calories so I average about 2000 to 2400 per day.

When my son was born five years ago, I started walking with him in the stroller. I lost 60 pounds in 9 months. Now I have 2 kids and get up early and go to a free local boot camp in my area and I jog as well. I've never been crazy about the gym anyway so this works for me!
