Born and raised in Colorado as well. I'm probably biased but it is incredible here. I moved to Washington DC in my late 20's to experience something new but after getting married and having my first child I came back here as fast as I could! I live 10 minutes from Red Rocks as somebody else mentioned the incredible shows…

It sounds like you're active but when I was trying to lose weight I erred on the side of caution and put myself as less active than I actually was. I would set it at moderately active and give that a try for a couple of weeks and readjust if necessary. Best of luck to you!

My best friend just introduced it to me last week and I can't get enough of the stuff! I've only had strawberry and black cherry so far but I'm going to try the other flavors everyone is talking about. Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo goood!!!!!!

Me! I can't post pictures either but I did it in a year with watching what I eat and walking. That was 6 years and two babies ago and I have kept the weight off. Now I am really into fitness and work out much more than walking but I have successfully maintained. It just takes patience and determination. You can do it too.…

Low fat cottage cheese with fruit on top.

I like it in chili instead of sour cream. I also put it on top of my bean burritos. (Sounds gross but I really like it!) My Mom used to give it to us with canned pears on top as well.

I've been maintaining the whole time I have been on MFP. (Since July 2011). I switched over from Weight Watchers. It's scary at first because you are so used to depriving yourself but it can and does work. I exercise a lot and always eat back my exercise calories. I alternate between setting my activity level at…

Ha Ha! That was one of my favorite lies too.

When I was at my heaviest (100 pounds ago) I told myself that my BMI was in the "Obese" range because I was more muscular than the average woman. Like I was some sort of professional athlete or something!.

I've tried many many different ones and I always go back to this one: http://www.permalean.com/Protein-Powder I discovered it almost 15 years ago. I get the chocoholic chocolate flavor. It can be mixed in water, milk, I've even put it in my coffee. I just ordered a six month supply again after taking another shake for…

Just keep doing what makes you happy. I agree that being overweight or obese is the new normal especially in the US so when you're fit and healthy you stand out more and people that don't take care of themselves dismiss all your efforts and tell you you're too skinny. I get told this quite often. I am in the best shape of…

Another 37 year old Mom here with a 5 year old and 2 year old. Everyone is lookin' good! Keep it up hotties.

Unfortunately that's one of the few downsides to being fit. If you want to keep "the girls" you usually have to pay for them. :ohwell: On a positive note though, mine seem much perkier now and my upper back pain disappeared when I got smaller...

It took me about a year. 100 pounds seemed completely overwhelming to me so I took it 10 pounds at a time. Slow, steady and consistent was the only way to go for me. Once I stopped looking for a magic pill and realized I had to do all the hard work myself then everything finally fell into place. The scale can be…

It's amazing that something so good for you can mimic some very scary illnesses! I'm just happy to have learned from the experience and that it was nothing serious. :)

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that my second blood test came back completely normal. Now I am free to find something else to obsess about. I've also learned not to work out like a maniac prior to getting blood tests done. Who knew? :blushing:

I have been maintaining on MFP since July 2011. I moved over her from Weight Watchers after I reached my goal and I love it! I have an open diary and I love to eat and exercise. I'm on here pretty much every day. This is the only time in my life I've been able to maintain so I think I will be tracking forever!

Have you tried searching the database for "Taebo?" If it's in the database you can enter in the amount of time and it will estimate it for you. Or if it's not in the database you could maybe log it as aerobics?

I usually eat a banana or have a protein shake.

I do a 5am boot camp before my family is awake MWF. If the weather cooperates I stick my younger one in a jogging stroller and go for a ru n when my oldest is in school. On the weekends my husband and I take turns watching the kids so we can each get our work -out in. I used to belong to a gym with child care. That worked…

There is a setting where you set up your weight loss goals. Change it from wanting to" lose X amount per week" to "maintain my current weight". I joined my fitness pal after doing Weight Watchers in order to maintain. I have been on here for about 15 months and have maintained my weight the entire time.

I'm 30 something AND a middle child! :ohwell:

I noticed one of your links was for a living social deal in Colorado? If you're in Colorado I can tell you that my husband had his LASIK done at Icon Lasik and had a great experience. He wasn't quite 20/20 after the first procedure in one of his eyes so they did a free touch-up 6 months later and he has had no problems…

I love mine. It estimates my calories burned based on my personal settings so I feel like it's more accurate than the FP database. It was also a good thing to have in the beginning because I tend to push myself too far and over do it when I'm exercising. Having the heart rate monitor lets me know when my HR is getting too…
