Personally I love PF. I feel comfortable going there. Unlike Gold's that I go to on occasion with a friend. Too many people showboating in there walking around talking.

^This!! I found 33oz water bottles with straws in Wal Mart for $4. I keep it with me all day. Especially sitting at my desk at work I drink 2-3 of those a day. Not including what I drink when I get home. I also leave one at work now because if I forget the bottle I tend not to drink as much. It takes a little while to get…

I too have not done well on dieting but once I started MFP, it was like a light switch clicked on. Until logging it, I was not aware of how much crap that I was putting into my body. I now try to log before I eat so I know if I can fit it in and not starve the rest of the day! It's not easy with the kids. My husband works…

I started this on May 18, so a little over 4 months. The change I made was trying to eat smaller portions and I've also been playing around with a lot of recipes off of skinnytaste.com. They have healthy recipes for almost anything on there and it usually calls for ingredients that I already have in the cabinet. I also…

Lucky!! Mine have shorter times between cycles now and are debilitating. I can't freakin wait for menopause.

Thanks everyone. It took a lot to get here.

My son has that issue too. Popcorn works well to move things along. I give it to him everyday.

I did the Atkins diet years ago and lost 70 lbs. That being said, I felt like crap (lightheaded & dizzy) all the time. Plus, once I started eating back "regular" foods, I gained it all back, especially in my butt! I've now lost 40 lbs in 4 months by just limiting portions. I eat almost everything, just smaller portions.…

I was prescribed Topomax for migraines and I would never touch it again. I had severe pins & needles feeling all over. I felt lightheaded. I chose to have migraines instead of continuing the Topomax. That's saying a lot!!

I started out in a size 20 at 263lbs. I'm now back in my size 16 and 225 after 4 months. I log everyday even on a cheat day, drink so much water you feel like you'll float away and excercise when I can. I also try to eat every couple of hours so I don't get hungry. Otherwise if I get hungry, watch out refrigerator! It's…

You look wonderful! Great job! Can't wait to get there myself.

Unfortunately, yes it is normal. I have been doing that over the last month. Lose 2-3lbs one week and gain 1lb a week. Good news is that your body catches up as long as you keep doing what you're supposed to. Keep your head up and keep plugging along!

I have a large amount to lose also but I think it helps to look at mini goals instead of the big one all the time. I started out at 263 and hope to get down to at least 180, preferably 150 range. Right now I'm focusing on being in "onederland". Good luck to you! You can do this!

One of my favorite substitutions is using homemade applesauce as a topping or a waffle or pancake instead of butter & syrup. IMO it tastes so much better. Not like I'm having pancakes & waffles on a regular basis...

I've noticed the same thing. As a fellow 1200 calorier, I just ignore it. There's a lot of nasty people in the world that think their way is the only way. If it's working, stick with it, if it stops working, change it.

^ This That's what I would and do use. All the time!

Way to go! I started at the end of May and I haven't quite hit the 40 lb mark yet. Close, but not quite. Way to work it!

Wow you look beautiful! You look so much younger. Great job!

Love me some blueberry muffins. I was just thinking of how much I missed them!

Are you taking the rest day in between? My sister decided to not take the rest days and her legs were killing her. I take at least one rest day, if not two and I seem to be ok. I'm at Week 5 day 1 (ugh). If not that, maybe you're running to fast? You're supposed to jog and I've heard others pushing too hard end up in pain…

I didn't say "cheat day". I said cheat meal and I never said that I do this all of the time because obviously I wouldn't have gotten as far as I have. And for everyone else, I'm very aware of sodium intake. I do track sodium now because of this. For the most part the only thing I drink is water and lots of it.
-
Thanks. Good to know I'm not alone. If I see a person posting about the amt. of calories needed to gain a lb again, I'm going to track them down and let them suffer the wrath of a hungry person!

I saw a baby garner snake eating a worm, which totally grossed me out. I at least was able to leap over them but it was nasty. I went home and told my boys and my youngest wanted me to drive him up where I saw it. BOYS!!

You can go on Subways site and see ahead of time how to adjust your sub. I thought I would die without putting cheese on a sub but I put so many darn veggies on now, I don't notice the difference. I could have never imagined ordering a veggie sub and wondered who would go to Subway and order that. Now I do, with avacodo…

I've been on this since the end of May and have noticed the following: -Drink tons and tons of water. This helps me stay full longer -It helps to eat something every couple of hours. -Log every single drink or food that you eat. Even if you'll go over, at least you know what you have to change for the next day. -Decrease…

My 13 yo looovves cut up apples with a side of peanut butter and it tends to tame the ravenous beast. At least for a little while!
