Check this out if you're looking at a Polar. I just got mine and LOVE it. Helps track acurately. Very excited to see how it affects my weightloss. I got the Polar FT4 - bodytronics.com with the POPO code, came in under $60.

^^^^^Agreed! I do the teeth brushing suggestion as well. Also, don't get comfy. I find if I sit on the floor and stretch, or leg lifts, etc. or even lay on my belly, I can distract myself from late night snacking.

Right there with you some days BUT I just try to give myself a break. You've started the hard part....don't give up now! Find a motivational picture, ask for help at home, just breathe. You can do this. Look at yourself and see the difference. Measure yourself and see the change. Keep one foot in front of the other! Feel…

Awesome! Been researching all weekend and this definitely helps! Thanks for everyone's advice!

^^^^^^^ This. Claim that time as yours. It's good to set that nighttime routine.

Thanks for the link. Been browsing this website and I love it! I've been struggling to find recipies that are good for me but ones my family will still eat. Thanks a million!

41 and 5'8". I want to get to 145 with more of a focus on good tone and muscle. Great success so far in your journey! You look wonder

Awesome. Might have to steal that idea.

I hear ya....but I keep telling myself it took me years to get this way and it's gonna take a moment to lose it. DON'T GIVE UP! Keep making the smart choices and it will pay off. I frequently read the success stories for inspiration and connect with people here. The accountability factor and support are an amazing help.

Wash it, poke a few holes in it, and put it in a paper bag (lunch bag size works best), and pop it in the microwave for about 6 minutes. Split it open and drizzle with honey. Awesome way to do regular bakers as well.

Agreed! The other option is to eat a very small amounts of that craving just go get rid of it. Water, water, water.

I'm excited to see the feeback from everyone about their hooping and progress. I am like the others that say they find it relaxing. I find it easiest to hoop to a 1/2 hour tv show, esp a comedy - breaks it up in 15 minute segments and keeps my mind off my time goal for the day. If anyone is considering getting a weighted…

I'm more afraid for my lamps, pictures and windows - I can see them sailing all over the room!! How do you figure your calories burned? I've just gone on what I've found on feedback online and on this site, but not 100% sure I'm right on.

Yes, and I love it. I have a 4 lb hoop and it does leave bruises at first. The first couple days are really painful, but you just have to work thru it. I have the smaller ones for your limbs, although I've not tried to do my legs - I'm not that coordinated! I like the fact that I'm working on my core strength - after two…

Try Pepperidge Farm Light Style Bread. I love bread, unfortunately, and this has helped to keep the cravings down a bit. 40 to 45 calories a slice.

"Bake" them in the microwave. Wash them, poke a few holes in the tater, put it in a paper bag (I use the lunch bag size) and throw it in the microwave for about 7 - 8 minutes. Test the tater for softness and bake additional minute as needed. Tastes just like an oven baked sweet potato in a fraction of the time.. Put your…

Find a chiropractor that has a record of helping people with bunions. My daughter had trouble with her after walking around the pool all summer with no arch support (gotta love flip-flops :). I took her to my chiropractor and after several treatments (twice a week for a month) she saw dramatic improvement. It's worth a try!

Thank you for the feedback. You confirmed what I suspected!

I highly recommend a chiropractor who uses pressure point therapy in conjunction with his chiropractic routine. It takes a quite a few visits in a row to get your spine properly aligned to make the nervous system work properly, but it's well worth it. Now I go once a month for maintenance and very rarely have migraines.…
