Congratulations on reaching your goal! That is wonderful, and I'm sure you are feeling pretty spectacular. I reached my goal a few months ago and do have some advice. Maintaining your weight is something that you need to learn how to do, just like losing weight is. And this is for life. For me, I started with logging every…

Friend me if you'd like. I had my baby last year in July, and joined MFP to get back in shape and lose the baby weight. A year later, I've never been stronger or felt better. This has totally changed my life! Hope your little one gets to come home soon and that you cherish these first few months together, when you are your…

So glad I found this group. Hi everyone, I went on my second run of my life yesterday. I was the girl in gym class that opted for a 4 km speed walk rather than the 1km run. I do remember a run or two from elementary school, and enjoying them, but that is it for running history. I downloaded the C25K app and went for my…

Prove your sister wrong, sista! You are doing amazingly and I know you can reach your goal if you stick with it.

Oh Good luck Amanda! I think planning ahead is key. You can look up menus/calories ahead of time for fast food restaurants- if you know where you're going hopefully you can pick the best option. I know how hard this is, so plan, pack some snacks that are low calorie (like, could you buy some fruit or celery to munch on…

Hi, I'm a 33-year old mummy with two little girls. So close to my goal right now, just a few pounds away. And I love new friends! This has been a happy and rewarding process for me. I've never been as strong and muscular as I am now, after a year on MFP.

I went to my first movie in ages last week. I took with me a container full of the sweetest strawberries with a teaspoon of sugar on top (I like a sweet treat) and a bottle of alcoholic cider. It was the perfect treat for me and killed any kind of a candy craving. Unfortunately, the cider made me a bit tipsy and I lost the…

From what I saw, I would suggest eating more protein and trying to eat less sugar. There are a few days you don't log, if you go over on those days it balances out with the deficit and results in your weight staying the same. If you are eating less than your body needs and relying on willpower then you will not be…

My suggestion would be to try and eat 1700-1800 for a month and see what happens. It may take some finesse to find what works for you. And personally, I was losing for a month at 1700 and have now plateaued. I think I need fewer calories now that I weigh less, so I'm planning on dropping down to 1600 and seeing how that…

Oh my goodness, I love you!!! I've been trying to remind myself recently to do the best I can, not to eat and exercise perfectly, because that kind of thinking is motivation suicide for me. One little blip and down the slippery slope to gluttonly hell I go. However, my little brain is nowhere near as eloquent as you, and…

136.4, down 1.3 pounds on last week and getting so close to my goal, I think I'd better move it and push on!

I'm envisioning an octomom; part octopus, all mum, with small human children hanging from each tentacle... As I write this my toddler is shouting for another story from her bedroom, and her baby sister is attached to me... I wonder where I come up with these ideas...

I'm weighing in at 137.8, down 2.8 from last week and getting closer to my goal weight of 129! I don't expect all weeks to be as good as this one, but if I'm able to achieve my goal by Christmas I will be tickled pink :)

As of Friday I am 140.6 (11 lbs to lose to goal). I'm going to weigh Fridays and report Saturdays :) Good luck to all you fabulous people, hoping to find the encouragement from you folks to reach my goal weight by December when a tropical Christmas clad in a bathing suit is looming. Emma

I've set myself treats for every 5 lb increment to keep me motivated, its been working well so far... Below 150 (achieved): New running shoes Below 145 (achieved): Pedicure Below 140 (achieved): Heart rate monitor Below 135: Buy new workout clothes Below 130: Goal!!! My goal is to lose 10, with a stretch target of 15 (that would take me down to 125lbs), but weight is less important than me fitting into my clothes again! I had a baby 13 weeks ago, and my fall clothes don't fit- it appears that even the underside of my arms were pregnant...

I like to whizz up a protein shake- 1/2 frozen banana, 1/2 cup of yoghurt or orange juice, protein powder and a bit of water- tides me over until dinner with under 200 calories.

Love these photos, well done all! Thank you for sharing

Hi Mommas- I'm looking for friends to support and motivate me, and who I can return the same, so please add me :) I have two daughers, 2 1/2 and a 5-week old. I'm 32, I have 20 pounds to lose to reach my goal weight, and 30 to reach my stretch goal. I'd love to hear exercise and healthy food ideas- I haven't figured out…

I'm sitting at 35 weeks and 25 pounds gained. Right on target for the higher end of where I should be (expecting to gain 25-35 pounds). I was hoping to only gain 25, but with my first pregnancy I gained 40 and will settle for anything less this time around! Good luck to all you mummies out there, and cheers to healthy…

How wonderful, congratulations!!! I also love the name Melodie- we've had it on our list of possible names, but are gravitating more towards Gabrielle Grace at the moment (I'm having a girl too, due July 16). She will be a little sister for my two year old. Is this your first? I love having a daughter and am thrilled to be…

I am doing a zumba class right now, just tried it for the first time a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it!!! Dancing like a gigantic happy woman and its easy to modify. I'm also taking a prenatal yoga class once a week, and trying to walk 30+ minutes most days at lunch. I'd like to be doing a bit more, but between my…

Hi Ruth, I'm 23 weeks pregnant and just gained 2 pounds this past week (up until now, I haven't gained more than 1 pound in a week). Please don't be alarmed about your 2 pound weight gain, this happened to me with my last pregnancy too. Weight gain during pregnancy is not linear, although some say a pound a week through…

I was exhausted the first few months too, but for me it totally got better!!! It was all I could do to go to work; I'd come home and lie on the couch while my husband looked after our toddler, cooked us all dinner and put her to bed (this is usually all done by me). Forget about exercise, all I could handle was rolling off…

I'm due July 16, with number two. Amelia turned two on Feb 10, so babes will be about 2 1/2 years apart. I'm really thrilled and can't wait to meet the little acrobat I'm gestating... I'm also looking forward to a year off work with the children, and all the bonding and family time I'll get to enjoy. I am a little worried…

Hi Everyone, So nice that I have found this group, and I'm really interested to learn from all these other to be mummies on nutrition, healthy living and exercise. 1. How far along are you? 22 weeks 2. Do you know baby's gender? Find out Saturday 3. If so, do you have a name picked out? We've got names, so many potential…
