Like I said originally, it's Marmite. You either love it or hate it. Personally, my Crossfit box / gym is cheaper than the globo gym I used to belong to. Yes it can be extreme but there's absolutely no elitism...I cant deny it does seem a little cultish at times, along the same lines as Apple...but overall it's fun. It's…

Nobody thinks the movements are unique to Crossfit. How could anyone think a pushup or pullup is new? The problems occur when people think they can jump straight in to performing a 'Snatch' with perfectly correct form after a half hours practice. Some of the lifting moves can take a year to learn correctly....until that…

Crossfit certainly is the marmite of the fitness world. Coming from a globo gym background, i'm now in month 4 of the crossfit routine. Mainsite, 3 days on 1 day off. All I can say is, without wanting to sound like a cult devotee, it has totally changed my perception as to what a 'proper' workout is. Yes, it was…

I''ve just started too. 2 sessions down now, and love it. It's what i've been missing from my regular 'workouts'. It was my bodybuilding friend that put me on to it, saying "If you've got the dedication to keep going to the gym, and you're serious about your fitness, try crossfit" So I did...now i'm thinking of cancelling…

If i'm doing weights, I like to alone. Otherwise, you can't beat a gym buddy for everything else. Especially circuits. Even better if your gym buddy is fitter than you. Pushes you that little bit further trying to keep up.

I've been trying to up my workouts lately by joining a crossfit class.... I can tell you, I haven't felt soreness like it since starting on my fitness drive, which can only mean I wasn't working nearly as hard as I should. It's sunday night now, I'm still feeling it in my legs after friday nights session. What makes it…

I was taking pictures at a wedding. It was formals time, in front of all the guests. I was standing still, crouching down and standing up, sweating as if i'd run flat out for 2 hours! "Time to sort myself out" is what I thought to myself. Into my 4th month now. Gym most days, interval training, weights...and classes. I'm…

I love Man Vs Food. Adam comes across as such a great guy. It is evidently clear, as each season passes, he's gained a considerable amount of weight. It's almost comical. It's also really bizarre how he salivates after describing each meal by the WEIGHT of it. It's almost as if he belives the heavier a meal, the better it…

Contrary to what some believe, Bodypump is a good session...as long as you test yourself. Then look to increase the weights. It's a good workout if you do it right.... Then you can try Spinning! Weights are just as important as cardio if you're wanting to lose weight. Gotta eat right too. Maybe try and have 5 smaller meals…

Yep, i too use a Polar. Best bit of gym equiptment ever. Get one that talks to the gym machines too. Great for interval training. Watch your heart rate rise, then time how long it takes for your heart rate to go down, to see how fit you're getting. Then track your calories after a workout. Much better than the gym machines…

Yes my friend. If you stick to that, you will lose! You should also incorporate some weight training with the cardio too. I'm currently doing similar, around 45 minutes cardio a day + 3 weight sessions a week, with some swimming and golf chucked in for good measure. I've lost 10 kilos in 6 weeks, my fitness has gone RIGHT…
