Tried this tonight, made 2 versions (one vegetarian with Quorn naked cutlets, and the other with the pork) both came out great (I'm told the pork did at least) however in both I added apples and carrots. In the vegetarian one, for flavor, I added a cube of Not-Beef boullion. Will definately do again, thanks!

I also have a Polar (FT40 w/ chest strap) and find zumbacalories.com pretty accurate as well. My cladsses are 55 minutes and I burn between 450-620 depending on what type of class and whose teaching...I burn less in a toning class. Usually my average is closer to 500-575 per 55 minute class and the deviations are for A)…

Hehe I have a feeling this is how my husband is feeling about now, we only signed up for a half..signed up in July the marathon is in January - got set back by his leg surgery but I think we'll make it, not in stellar time. My advice is don't just get out there and run...you may overtrain and waste your time...find a GOOD…

The value for the Y is fantastic, and if you wait until Jan 1st they usually have a discount or waived initial membership fee coupon (if cash is short). We pay 90 bucks a month for the 3 of us (2 adults one teanager), I prefer it to the 24 hour small machines gyms .... because I really like the classes and community.

Hmm you're right that the cheese is a struggle :) I once told my husband cardiologist I was a veg and he said ..."hmmm you know why I don't like vegetarians...? You guys eat so much cheese!" I am a vegetarian and get plenty of protein and feel full check out some recipes in the forums there are some great suggestions!

Resistance bands are a good idea, however he has already said he often doesn't have power, can't run outside due to safety concerns, and is served both food and alcohol not of his choice.

Kindle or other small device that can load some dvds or videos on that wont need a power source...honestly I'd go mad and probably have my lap top with about 2-3 back up batteries....or a solar charger (pricey). You don't need a DVD if you memorize some of the work outs or write down a circuit routine for in the room :)…
