You would have to add the exercise yourself. Then you can add the time you did it & the calories.

Great idea!! I have been battling with how to keep track but not input it as regular exercise... waiting until the end of the day is a great solution. Thanks!

OK, well I've been thinking about it all night & here is what it is: once I input my exercise & it jumps the numbers way up - I need to literally ignore the exercise number & focus on my net alone (1884)... because if I do my exercise & don't put it in, my numbers don't change. It's still 1884. I don't know why this seems…

I have a Polar FT7 also and I LOVE it. I've had it since mid April and it really challenges me to see how much I can burn. It can be addictive, but in a good way!

WOW! Amazing results. Success stories are so inspiring - gives me the extra lift I need. Your start weight was where I was at & where you are now is slightly more than I hope to be at my goal - but I would LOVE to weigh what you weigh now! I really can't get over your pictures & the difference in your face! March…

I am new to the concept - I just started on Tuesday after doing some research and getting some help from another MFP friend who is currently doing this. Can I just verify my stats to make sure I'm headed in the right direction? I am 5'3, 37 yr old - weigh 210. I workout 4-5 times per week, strength training 2 times per…

I bought the Polar FT7 (off Amazon, apx $75) and I LOVE IT. I feel so much more confident about logging my exercise calories. And I have found that both fitness machines and MFP are considerably off in terms of actual calories burned. Buy the HRM! You won't regret it!

I don't think I'm lifting very heavy - but I can certainly feel the reps. I'm doing 3 sets of 10 reps each. But the system I'm doing (Hoist) is the total circuit (16 machines) that uses some weight combined with your own body weight as resistance... so there is no actual way to figure how much weight you're actually…

1. iPod!! 2. Bandanna or ball cap to soak sweat - so gross, but I sweat A LOT. I Zumba'ed w/o either one yesterday & I was a mess. 3. Heart Rate Monitor - ADDICTED. 4. Two pieces of Trident bubble gum 5. Water bottle 6. Towel

I'm sure it's just a matter of time before you add NY to the list. Lord knows, in NYC they want to control it all: banning trans fats in all restaurants including butter in the mix. My thing is this: if you want to indulge once in awhile - DO IT. Who the heck is the government to tell me what I can eat, who I can marry,…

JennP1129 - HOLY CALF DEFINITION! Nice job! I just started my weight training today but hopefully I'll have calves like that eventually!

I too, am rarely thirsty. I could go all day without drinking anything, so I log each time I finish my water bottle. I usually get 96+ oz./ day.

Even though I didn't have time to get to the gym (that I've become addicted to), I got on my treadmill, despite a very busy day and went 45 min and really WORKED. Totally drenched. Over 400 cals burned. I FEEL GOOD. Not to mention it totally put me in a better mood.

Name: pbajwally / Amy Goal weight on April 30: 212 4/01: 218.4 4/09: 217.0 4/16: 215.0 4/23: 215.0 :grumble: :grumble: :grumble: But no GAIN, so I guess I can't complain... 4/30:

Anna, I get what you're saying about the calories - the machine today said I burned 360 but my HRM said 320 so I went with that. The great thing was I got my heart rate average at 160 with a max at 170. I really enjoyed it and I was sweating like it was my JOB. Felt really good. I figure if I add 30-45 min of that 5…

The most important thing is don't overwhelm yourself... you will get discouraged and quit. Take one day at a time. I have read all the responses in this thread and every single one of them is spot on: plan ahead, get activity in where you can, include your son! Don't dwell on the things you can't do -- go with what works.…

   LOVE THIS    Generations of my family are from Pittsburgh. Growing up a military kid, it's the one place that was my constant. Even though I lived in Cleveland for 18 years, Pittsburgh is still where my heart is. GOOOOOO STEELERS!!!!

YES. THIS. It burns me to no end that there are so many poor, mistreated, unloved children out there who have "parents" that could care less about them. At the same time there are soooo many people who would give anything to have children & can't. You are not disrespectful. You are INTELLIGENT. Bravo for not being afraid…

Umm. Hands down - best concert experience ever: The Grateful Dead, June 30, 1995 at Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh. I got to see Jerry Garcia live before he died later that summer.

I've never been to Europe. I've never had a Mountain Dew. I've never joined a gym. I've never done Zumba (until today!)
