Wow--that is quite the emotional day...I'm glad you aren't feeling too heavy of a disappointment, although I'm sure it's a blow for your hubby, and it's hard when you are going through something and at the same time trying to support someone else who is dealing with their issues too. I understand what you mean by the…

I haven't really had that experience, but the packaging with all the warnings has Nausea listed as a common side-effect. Bleck. Tonight the youth group at our church is doing their Valentine's Day dinner. They go all out and decorate, have music, take pictures, and serve a great meal--Prime Rib, Green beans, potatoes,…

Hi gals! Well, my Clomid moods are cycling very rapidly right now. One minute I'm fine, the next I just feel like a pessimistic bump on a log. For those of you who aren't on Clomid or might be at some point, I hope our Clomid stories don't freak you out. I hear that lots of people don't have any side effects, so not…

Yay Ashley! I so hope this is the month for you. And what a blessing to find out that you don't have to pay out of pocket for it! I am imagining my immigration application now... reason for applying: free fertility treatments. Haha. ;-) My little guy was born on Nov 11--we didn't make it to Mother's Day to tell them the…

Hey all. This morning was my final day of Clomid for this round....the munchies are in full force and I didn't exercise, which is just bad news waiting to happen. Today the munchies convinced me to eat the leftover guacamole from last night....which then sent me into a tailspin. I got home from work and just happened to…

Hey Heather--more than just our cycles seem to be corresponding. We have had the exact same discussions..well, except that we already have one kid, so it's not quite the same, I guess. It's SO hard. My hubs and I originally decided that we would try Clomid, but that we weren't going to go to a specialist...we just don't…

Okay---well at least I know I'm not just imagining it. BTW-I did manage to not eat the last 33 calories...I brushed my teeth after dinner and then watched Bones on Netflix last night till bedtime to stay out of the kitchen. Small victory!

When we had our first, we didn't tell our parents until we were about 7 weeks along. Then it was just them until we got through the first trimester. I'm always a play it safe sort, and my brother's sister had to do the whole thing of telling everyone after she miscarried. My parents had wondered....apparently when I get…

Hey Pam--I saw that on FB too--only they had substituted "snow" with "Steelers superbowl ring." Hahaha...

Hi all-- Thanks SO MUCH for those of you who asked about Merlin. Anyone who doesn't want to know what happened can just skip the next two paragraphs. Well, after a few car payments worth of treatment and testing, we seem to be on the other side of the worst of it. This little kitty apparently is all heart--i mean…

Hi all--I'm not usually a poster to individuals, but I just had to say Alisa: hugs--I'm so thinking about you as you send off your hubby, and Heather-so sorry AF showed up. We all had our fingers crossed. Sigh. As for me, I'd love a little extra whatever sent my way for one of my kitties, Merlin. She (yes, it's a she...)…

Happy Tuesday, peeps--welcome to February. Any bets on the Groundhog? I'm just glad all the ice they called for seemed to have held off in our area. Had a clomid check this morning--the OBGYN upped me to 100mg after exclaiming "Well, that first does obviously didn't work." upon seeing my 2.4 progesterone lab result. Told…

Hey all! So, my "clomid effects" have ganged up on me in the last few days I guess. My major cranky depressed funk, and now I am having all the normal PMSy symptoms I usually have, but so much stronger. My boobs hurt. TIM, sorry. If it weren't just a larger version of what happens every month, I might think something was…

FitterPam-sometimes I wish I was in New Zealand--how beautiful! That was taken on a vacation to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. Wouldn't mind living there either! As it is....Virginia is "holding it's breath" for a snowstorm, I guess. Schools are out, but we aren't expecting anything big till later tonight. I'm sure all…

I put it under circuit training.

Hi all--schools are closed here today, not that it matters much for me and my little boy, but the snow is supposed to hit TONIGHT. So, impending snow storm for tomorrow. Tomorrow is when I'm supposed to go in for Day 21 bloodwork. I doubt that it happens. Boooo. We'll see. Sigh... Vent time: Yesterday I was in a real funk.…

Can I have some of your left-over calories? I used all of mine already. ;-)

That just stinks. Sigh......hugs.

Hi all-- Ron-- I'll say it again for ya--a line is a line! The first one I ever took (I was doing a "control" test, so I would know what a negative looked like)....and ended up with a positive test. I find it terribly ironic now, since we are having issues conceiving this time. But, that's another issue. Wait a few days…

I'm so excited for the possible BFP's in the group!!! Just had to share...gotta go do other stuff now.....

Hi all--Happy MLK Jr. Day everyone (in the US)! Lost .4 lbs this week...which feels pretty good given what I thought the numbers might say. Finished my first round of Clomid yesterday. So, serious BDing to commence soon. Today i feel a bit...punkish. That's the only way I can describe it. Not really sick, but just not…

Oh Alisa.....so sorry to hear about the no. It's like a little heartbreak all over again:brokenheart: ...even if you think you are ready for it. It gets me every time, even when I think I'm ready. Hugs. I'm on day 2 of Clomid. No weird side effects stuff happening yet that I am aware of, but I was way over my calories…

The sweets get me too! Two things: if it's really hard for you to stay away from them, then get rid of them. Out the door, throw them away, give them away...whatever you have to do to make you have to go out of the house, get in your car, drive somewhere and fork over some more money for them, if you want them that bad.…

Thanks for sharing this!

Nice! I need one of a molecule of chocolate. ;-) Too bad there isn't such thing....maybe a bar code off of a hershey bar or something. Hahaha....

Morning everyone. It's been an interesting morning. I got up at 5:30 to exercise. Just as I popped in the DVD, I hear my son coughing and wretching in his crib. So, no exercise--sick little boy instead. Booooo on many levels...but I'm glad it wasn't like, 2 am--at least I got a decent night's rest before he got sick. He's…

I'm so glad to have found Crock Pot buddies! Bump! I use mine more than anything to cook chicken. Buy the little roasters when they go on crazy sale, throw them in the freezer--after taking anything inside out--then pull one out, throw it in the crockpot, leave, and when I come home, I have cooked chicken I can dissect and…

I just use it in place of white rice in anything I would use rice in. It takes a little longer to cook, but I love the flavor. Cook it in some chicken bullion or just with some salt in the water, and you are good to go!

Double the time on low is usually how it goes. The great thing about chili and crock pots is, you really can't overcook it. If you have it on low you could leave it there for a loooooooong time before it does anything bad. Worst case scenario, you would just want to add a little more water if enough water evaporates to get…

So sorry to hear about your "mom". That's so hard to deal with, and it's never easy when it's someone you care about so much! Finding out about cancer is always such a shock to the system. Keep doing what you are doing... taking care of yourself is something you can control, even when it feels like a lot of other things…
