I've just started circuit class on a monday evening. The split is pretty much 50/50 men to women ranging from early 20s to some in their 50s and of course, all different abilities.

For me it was a mixture of things. At first it was my desire to change, without which you won't get particularly far in my opinion. Then as I started seeing results, the praise I receive(d) just pushes you to carry on. Also, setting yourself mini-goals along the way also helps (NSVs as well as weight goals too). Sometimes…

Yeah, the main one for me is that i've stopped snoring!

Got convinced by a shop attendant to buy USN's Chocolate Cream flavoured shake as he claimed it was low in carbs and fat with a decent amount of protein. He wasn't wrong about the protein but since shopping around online, I'd realised that actually, for the price I paid, i'd been 'had' (plus, it tastes horrific). I've…

Absolutely amazing. I'm 5'9, started 246 lbs with ~92 lbs to lose. I've got 24 lbs to go and this is so inspiring to get to my goal weight. Kudos to you, buddy!

Stumbled upon two more snacks today while I was shopping. Options Hot Chocolate With Mint is 38 cals with hot water or you could use skimmed milk if you have cals left over. Also, mini-milk ice creams are only 30 cals each.

Sure, very cute x

I used to think Tabasco was an illegal substance when I was little...I didn't really know what it was! I just remember telling my parents not to talk about it so boldly because the police might hear them. Oh dear!

I'm still very new to running, having only been going for a fortnight. I started because a friend of mine inspired me to start it up. At 6ft tall, he went from 19 stone to 13 stone using running as his main form of cardio. I used to use the static bike when I was at my heaviest but, as somebody pointed out to me, the bike…

I got my first tattoo at 18 and i'm hooked. In fact, i'm booked in for a 3 hour session at the end of the month. However, my 60+ year old father is talking about getting one. I don't think you can be too old. In fact, as you get wiser with age, i'd imagine the choices you make would be more suitable and meaningful having…

Very sorry to hear about the job. Some buffalo wings really isn't going to throw you off course too much at all though. Just remember that you need to consume an additional 3,500 calories to gain 1lb of fat. When you work out how many wings you can get for that, hopefully it'll put things back into perspective for you.…

Since the 1st, i've lost all of my holiday and Xmas weight (6lbs), plus an additional 3lbs! I put it down to switching from cycling to running and the 5:2 diet! Back on track now, I hope :)

Loving alot of these snack ideas and they are making me very hungry! My favourites are: - Weight-Watchers Fromage Frais - between 47-49 cals each. - Tesco Rich Tea Fingers - only 23 cals per biscuit (might be nice to dip into these individual philly choc. pots i'm hearing about! - Danone Shape 0% fat Strawberry yogurts -…

Thanks guys! Very much appreciated...as are more friend requests so keep 'em coming!

Major congratulations! It's a great feeling isn't it? I started with a BMI of 36.3 in Sep/Oct 2011 and I've got mine down by 10 points to 26.3. Still room for improvement here, but hopefully it won't be long until I hit a BMI of 22 or so! Best of luck with the rest of your weight-loss journey!

I switched to the 5:2 diet after Xmas and after a cruise with an open buffet and i'm loving the results so far. I've lost the holiday & Xmas weight (maybe 5lbs) plus an extra 2-3lbs and i'm only in week 3. I have also switched from cycling to running for my cardio which may be making a difference too, but if done correctly…

White Americano before breakfast (about 50 cals) and probably a 4 egg omelette (4 whites, 1 yolk) with a tin of tuna (honestly nicer than it sounds/looks) for about 230 calories.

5 stone sounds harder than it really is! I managed to lose 4 stone in just over a year with 2 stone left to go. The 2 biggest tips I can give you are: 1) You won't achieve great, maintainable results without a combination of exercise and clean, calorie-controlled eating and 2) Don't feel as if you need to 'buy into' these…

Post-run breakfast of weight-watchers layered fromage frais (49 calories) with some granola (maybe an extra 150 calories). Need some carbs before I head off to the gym in an hour or so!
