I'm pretty lazy... but I also like to eat. So exercise means I can eat more - yay!

I think she's a knob! You always remember that horses are unpredictable, and minimise the risk. My mum was kicked in the face by my old mare - complete random accident, Mum lost 3 teeth, almost lost her bottom lip and had extensive facial fractures. She never once blamed the horse.

My beloved has been quietly trying to lose weight. Last night he weighed himself on the Wii, and officially slipped from the "overweight" to "ideal" range. I'm very proud of him - and of course, jealous enough to consider smothering him in his sleep...

This is my wee tattoo - but I want MOAR!

I'm in Oz - public health would cover some expense, but with a waitlist of a few years. I don't have private health... should probably look at that!

When I can afford one, I'm having one. My puppies are F cup. I get regular migraines, I'm sure in part from the neck strain. I dream of perky wee D cups...

Hi Hayley I only weigh a bit less than you, and ride without problems. If you're not super-heavy, balance and core strength (so that you can ride lightly and actively) are more important than weight alone. Sooo I would balance cardio exercise (walking, running etc) with strength training - bodyweight exercises are great…

You sound a bit depressed, mate. Are you ok? I understand your lifestyle - I've been there, and my chronically depressed partner is still there. To the best of your ability, you need to take some control over your life. Set yourself a schedule, work out a routine - wake up at the same time each day, eat small regular…

All medicines come with costs and benefits. In each individual case, you need to determine if the benefit of the drug outweighs the cost. For me, being able to function without constant self-sabotage, guilt, lethargy etc etc outweighs the negligible side effects. Remember that depression is a chemical imbalance, not just a…

Cos it's none of your beeswax? Why do you care what peeps is eating, unless they specifically ask "what's wrong with my diet?"

Is it your mum or dad who does most of the shopping? Can you sit them down and have a really serious talk about what you're trying to do, and why, and how? It sounds like they really don't get it, but maybe they could try being supportive just to humour you? Could you try making a bet that you can get x lbs off and keep…

Some good stuff here http://www.blogilates.com/

Oh, and swimming/water walking might be good too.
-
Google seated exercises - there's a lot of stuff you can sitting or leaning against a chair. Gentle yoga/pilates/tai chi might also be good, in small sessions, maybe 10-15 minutes at a time. Listen to your body, and feel if your tolerance for exercise increases with repetition - you might be able to work up to…

Ooh, me! I'm hourglass, no hope of skinny, so I'm shooting for strong instead. I lift (not huge, but working towards), do ballet, jog poorly and ride horses. And coach badminton and Kindy Sports once a week each. Be my friend!

I second soups/stews. I go to a fruit/veg shop, buy whatever is in-season and cheap, and chuck it in the pot! Potato, sweet potato, pumpkin, cabbage, kale, spinach, onion, carrot, mushroom, leeks, spring onion etc etc etc... Plus chop and chuck in a cheap cut of meat of soup bone if you're so inclined. Plus chickpeas,…

Hi Tom I didn't read all the other posts, so I'm not sure what's been said already (cos I'm LAZY!) but I wanted to give an encouraging (?) warning... This won't all go smoothly for you. You will have good days and bad days. Bad weeks, even. You will sometimes make choices and decisions that you'll regret. You'll eat things…

Hard to tell from your diary, since it looks pretty incomplete... but I'd suggest more real food, less shakes/supps etc. And lots more fruit and veg!
-
Ignoring the food side of the equation... take advantage of being out of work to really focus on your fitness. Walk/run/cycle faster, up more hills, carrying weights etc. Lift bigger weights! Try new routines! Try completely new sorts of exercise - dance, yoga, pilates, rock climbing, hula hooping, whatever. Set frequent…

Go you! Long boots are one of my goals - I'm just on short boots and gaiters at the moment - but long boots look heaps posher :)

Spinderella - I hear ya! I'm a rider, and I want to look good in jodhpurs! They're the most unflattering thing, it's terrible... Also, I rode in a dressage comp last weekend, and in the photos, there's way too much butt goin' on!
