He's a 12yo TB. Neglected, ungelded and almost unhandled until he was 6.

I don't mind tiny jumps, but I'm too sooky for big ones! I'm a pudgy Australian teacher, although about 20kg less pudgy than I was 2 years ago. Moving to country, new job, 5:2 fasting, regular yoga etc have made a big difference! Hoping to do some vaguely respectable dressage over summer and next year...

Good on you for catching the horse bug! My beloved has also become addicted in the last couple of years - he hoons around on my 30 year old Welsh Mountain pony, they're quite the pair of troublemakers... Now he's looking at horse ads online, considering tentpegging - there's no stopping him! Bloody men - he rides bareback…

My old man (30yo Welshie) loves just about any food, but now that he's dentally challenged, he's really enjoying squishy pears. My TB is a traditionalist - loves his carrots. He's taken up apples and pears, just so he can steal them from the pony, and I've started him on sweet potato. He's also partial to the odd nip of…

wait, are you doing that exercise in a week, or every day? o.O

Ain't nothing wrong with stripping - it's a job, it makes people happy, and as long as you set yourself clear boundaries and don't let anyone overstep them, you can stay sane. Unfortunately, club managers do prefer skinny girls - they have a type that they hire, not necessarily based on the complexity of human sexual…

Here's an excellent bodyweight circuit to get you started! http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2009/12/09/beginner-body-weight-workout-burn-fat-build-muscle/

I'd rather my horse drank too much than not enough. That being said, salt licks are often not a complete mineral/vitamin supplement, so you might be better off giving him a balanced supplement as well. Might find that then he's getting all the stuff he's deficient in, and won't be hitting the lick quite as hard.

O hai! I also have a constant headache, for some years now. Diagnosed as cervicogenic migraines, meaning "migraines cos my neck sucks," I'm now on medication so they're not quite as bad as they were... but still there, all the time. Bleh. On the whole, I find regular exercise does help to keep me fitter, more…

Your body needs fuel. Eating is not essentially cheating - it is fueling your biological machine. You're better off eating a bit of "bad" food and making your calorie requirements, than falling behind. Maybe you need to jazz up your idea of "good" foods to make them more appetizing. Say, make your own pizza with flatbread,…

Maybe grab a Heart Rate Monitor. I burned about 800cal on a slightly terrifying trail ride once, only about an hour!

Sometimes, I find nerding it up can help - stop thinking about good foods and bad foods, attractiveness etc and start seeing your body as a machine. The more exercise you do, the better your machine works - it gets stronger, faster, more flexible, more efficient. Concentrate on feeling how your machine is working, and…

Seconded! Mmm, Jeff <3

I don't want to live in a world without pastries... And part of my weight-loss plan is to occasionally really savour something truly delicious, like a gourmet pastry, instead of just eating chocolate etc all the time. So :p to you and your high horse!

One of my (many) reasons to lose weight is to cosplay Aeryn Sun from Farscape - that's a lotta leather! Go you!

I'm an F cup. I hate boobs!

Honestly, why bother making a FR if you don't include junk pics?

How to guarantee every girl visits your thread - post "no ladies please" in title. Also, pls go on...

I exercise a) cos it's good for me and whatnot, and b) so I can EAT MOAR! EAT ALL THE FOODS!!! I like eating (it's why I'm more, um, voluptuous than I'd prefer...), but exercising means I earn some of that food.

I'll... I'll be in my bunk...

Yoga and Pilates are really good for horse riding - strength, balance and flexibility, all good. You probably need to work on your cardio fitness, so brisk walking, jogging, swimming, cycling etc all good - work on increasing your endurance. Strength work is good too, either bodyweight (great routine here…

So, um - my brain can focus on other things while my legs are moving... I don't need to keep telling them "step, step, step" - which happily leaves my mind free to do other stuff!

I read on the bikes, and sometimes on the treadmill, because it's deathly boring pedalling to nowhere staring at the wall! Hence why I walk/run outside on cardio days...

I'm joining the Taunto fan club! Oh, and peeps - personal experience does not equal general experience. Put down your pitchforks and leave the funny man alone.

Sounds like a very stressful situation for a rescue dog - and a scary one for you. For your son's sake, he needs to have some positive doggy interactions so he doesn't develop a phobia. Dog's owners need to respect their dog's vulnerabilities, and their guests' safety... And probs talk to a trainer about behaviour…

As much as I like the visual of galloping carefree with my hair fluttering in the breeze - nah. Plus, my hair is short. I get twitchy even thinking about getting on without a helmet. And I've come off my big eejit twice, both times onto my head, so it's worth it. Although I'd like to not keep needing to buy new ones...
