  • I'm 5'7" and got down to 145. People were seriously worried and kept asking if I had cancer. For me, I learned that my body is healthier at 150-155. Seriously look at yourself, how you feel, and evaluate with your doctor. Adding weight from exercise isn't a bad thing!
  • I loved when we went to Europe and celebrated both St. Patrick's Day in England and St. Joseph's Day in Italy. ANd such nummy food, too!
  • BTW- bow ties are cool.
  • I'm not eating. It won't hurt me to fast for one day. Also, we have 3 hours of services, so the kids and I should be there the whole time- my son's an altar server, and we always stay all the way through. (as we do for Holy Thursday, also.) But if you're looking for light food, miso soup or some california rolls would…
  • The Shirataki noodles are wonderful and taste great- especially if you haven't been having carbs for a week or two. And frozen yogurt (90 calories per 1/2 cup) instead of yogurt or ice cream.
  • And yet another! I'm 41 years old, married for almost 18 years, (dated my hubby for 5 before that!), and we have 3 kids- 17, 15 and 5. I had been doing great on MFP and had almost reached my goal when I (happily) learned I was pregnant, began eating extra calories per my doctor, and subsequently miscarried. Now, 5 months…
  • Another Moffatt show- Jekyll!!
  • Excited? I'll be honest- they had my money as soon as it was announced, even if it is crap! And can hardly wait for SDCC this year!

  • Sorry ladies. I have bad news for you all (and me). I have been told that I am off the diet for the next few weeks by my doctor. I'll update when I get more information. Poop. I had weighed in at 151. I'll keep watching you guys and kibbutz til I hear. Sorry about this - I just can't talk about my situation yet.

  • Fruit salad!!! Always delicious! Or veggie sticks or sweet potato fries (baked). Instead of pies, how about crustless pumpkin pie? Is it a dinner party, appetizers, or what? Shrimp is good, but can be pricy. Nuts (in moderation).
  • A carr's ginger-lemon cookie and frozen yogurt. Yummers!

  • And it doesn't get better about the mess! (But they tend to sleep in their own beds as they get older!). I have two messy teenagers and a 4-year old and there she was in bed this morning telling me to stretch and get moving.

  • I do the same things, but it's sugar in fruits, so I don't worry too much about it. Like rockerbabyy said, you need to watch the added sugars.
  • I looked it up also. Yours is fine and low risk. The first one is waist to HEIGHT ratio.
  • I'm in the same boat. I just got a pedometer so I can do 10,000 steps Friday-Sundays. I'm starting (yuck!) abs on Monday-Thursday and play volleyball Wednesdays. I have been told to change the exercise that I do so there is more variety and my muscles don't get used to doing the same exercises. You are also supposed to…

  • Even when I had those last 10 pounds off I had problems with proportions. I am wearing size 11 shorts and have no hiney. I can't afford a tailor and suck at sewing. And I'm a DD on top, so it makes it hard to even find a shirt that doesn't look baggy. I'll try the cardio and weights, I guess, and just keep plugging with y…

  • Fantastic! Going every day is a good idea. Don't beat yourself over 1 day, but be sure to take a breath and go tomorrow. I just make sure that I drink plenty of water! Your 2 year old will keep you busy running around and is a great inspiration. I have 2 teenager and a 4 year old. How's this for motivation - lose the…
  • What do you like? I like Cathedrals and museums and walking like crazy, so Rome/the Vatican/Florence/Milan were for me. If you like glasswork and water, how about Venice? Museums and museums and plenty of English? London. What are your likes and dislikes?

  • Europe and/or Washington, D.C., where I can walk everywhere without being tired and not feel too awkward about my size. And a family road trip somewhere fun. Maybe the Grand Canyon, but I hate heights and he's a geologist. It should be some good hiking, though.
  • I'm 5 foot 7, eat 1200 calories, and eat back once a week and allow myself going over by 100 or so once or twice a week, depending on my mood. I still have about 13 pounds to go, but suspect as I get closer, I'll eat back more as I gradually learn to go into maintenance. But I rarely eat back my weakness foods or I would…
  • I have been going online and looking at Epicurious or AllRecipes. What might help you is to eliminate all carbs from bread, pasta, and rice for a while- I went over a month and still mostly shun it. That's where I finally started to see results. If you friend me, you can check my food diary. I eat a lot of salads with…
  • I have the same problem! I find myself putting food I don't need in my mouth and spitting it out. What is wrong with me? I'm trying to drink water instead. I am feeling hungry, too, and am not sure that I really am since I am getting adequate calories and balanced meals.
  • That is fantastic! I really appreciate hearing stories like yours to remember this is a slow process. It's always inspiring to see results like yours happening!
