Due to dietary issues aside from trying to lose weight I can't eat ground beef or hot dogs (they've always made me very very sick) so unfortunately those sorts of foods are a no-go for me anyway. But I love the chips and salsa idea! I'm also going to bake some low-cal desserts I found at eatbetteramerica.com. :flowerforyou:

bumping for later! this goes perfectly with the tailgate thread I just posted!

there is nothing better than a post-workday, *kitten*-kicking workout to relieve stress :)

Take a few non-log days to yourself to refocus and think about why you're doing this. For yourself, your friends and family, your health and self-confidence. You can do this AND you are absolutely worth the effort! You've already lost 20 pounds - that's incredible. Every day is a new day, so don't trouble yourself by…

hi there, feel free to add me! i love to motivate :flowerforyou:

bumping for later! can't wait to have some to post of my own, you all look amazing!!!
-
fantastic work! congratulations! :flowerforyou:

had to take a rest day today because I was so busy! ugh...thinking about doing 30DS twice tomorrow to make up for it. on the plus side, I did have to mow my hilly yard today so I still burned some cals! good luck everyone!
-
so is everyone doing this for 30 days straight, or are you taking a rest day here and there?
-
First, CONGRATS on your progress. you're doing a great job and should be very proud :) Don't let anyone get you down! To answer your question, I would keep yourself on sedentary, but log all exercise and eat your exercise calories! I would also recommend changing your goal to lose .5 lb a week, which should up your…

This. Is. Genius. Thanks for the tip!

I'm 5'3 with a goal weight of 122 pounds since that's what my driver's license says I weigh. Feel free to add me!
-
I log it as "circuit training, general" and MFP tells me I burn about 195 calories. How's everyone doing so far? Soreness going away yet?
-
I completed L1D4 last night, and feel AMAZING today! Soreness isn't gone but feels much more manageable. For the first round of pushups, I even did regular pushups and not my usual girly ones! this was a huge accomplishment for me  can't wait for Day 5 tonight!
-
Me! I'm 5'3 and 129 lbs as of this morning, looking to get down to 122. It's been really slow losing the weight, but I don't really care how long it takes as long as the scale trends down! I've started amping up the strength training in order to tone up, hopefully the last few pounds will just take care of themselves.
-
good luck! I hate the first cardio session too, it's pretty rough on my knees and calves. I think it's okay to sub in other cardio moves as long as you keep moving!
-
you're supposed to do each level for ten days. Jillian doesn't mention taking a few rest days along the way, but it seems to me like it'd be a good idea to give those muscle groups a rest once a week or so. I'm just going to listen to my body and see how it goes - I finished L1D4 today and I feel great!
-
I'll be doing Day 4 when I get home from work tonight. Good luck ladies!
-
I really hate the first cardio session, jumping jacks and jump rope. It's not that I can't physically do it, but all the jumping/being on tip toes kills my knees and calves. I usually sub in high kicks for one of the two.

is it too late to hop onto this thread? I am on L1D4 of 30DS, and the soreness is finally wearing off today! My weight crept up .5 lbs, but I'm guessing that's water rentention from my poor muscles. I started out at 129.6 and I'm hoping this will put me reeeeally close to my final weight goal. Please feel free to add me, I…

I am very glad to hear this! I do feel less like I'm going to die today. For the record so that it's written down for me somewhere, my starting weight on Friday was 129.6. I haven't taken any measurements, but I did take some before pictures!
-
I hear you! I have been sore constantly since starting, today was the first day that I can walk down a flight of stairs without hobbling!
-
I'm on L1D4 and noticed today that my thighs feel noticably firmer! Weight has gone up about half a pound, but I think that's just muscle building, and my lack of any high-intensity cardio for the past few days until I get used to 30DS.
-
Thanks for all the feedback! I will stick with it then!
-
great job!
-
It's all Luckys and Levis in my closet! I do have pair of Sevens for really special occasions which hardly ever get worn. How often do you really need fancy jeans?!
-
You can certainly lose weight without exercise - my stepmom lost over 100 lbs without ever setting foot in a gym! However, she often complained of still feeling flabby even at her goal weight, and she eventually gained most of it back. I think exercise is important because healthy lifestyles are a two-part equation. If one…

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! Who knows if I'll stay at 1390 during my entire weight loss journey. I plan to stay at this level as long as it's effective!
-
I typically eat back about half of my exercise calories. It really depends on how the rest of my day was food-wise and if my body feels hungry or not!
-
A lot of it could be water weight as well. I typically drink as much as 40 oz of water during an hour long workout, and some people on here would probably say that's not enough! I always feel my best the morning after a workout.
