A lot of sites state that 1500 is the minimum for males, at least. That is in order to ensure they have all needed nutrients. It may certainly be mis-judging the size of the food, but if you feel you are fairly accurate with it, keep an eye on the other totals other than JUST calories. You'll want to consider where those calories are coming from - such as carbs, fat, etc. You definitely need carbs, so don't cut it out completely, but check out…

This is perfect as I had an initial goal set for Christmas, anyhow. My CW is 185 and my goal weight is to be down to at least 165 if not 160. (I'll just say GW of 165 , though). If I make that, another Independence day one would sure help me hit my ultimate goal! Thanks for starting this!

Thanks for your reply! My weight is mostly in my waist and neck, but definitely have some in the hips. Hopefully I can keep on target this year to lose weight with this site where I've failed on my own in the past.
