Long story made short I came home and had lost seven pounds while on vacation! You do so much walking while your there that as…

Looks to me like you've managed to lose 9lbs on MFP without! Why even think about it? I've lost 130lbs and did it med and surgery free! Just exercise and diet is all it takes!

You can do it!! It appears that you have realistic goals for weight loss and with the tools and community here at mfp you are definitely in the right place to be successful. I joined in July and have lost 50 lbs since joining, on top of the 78 I had lost prior to joining. I know how it feels to be looking at a huge number…

I use an hrm while I'm doing c25k and I start it from the beginning of my warm up walk until the end out my cool down. It's all exercise, it all counts! The only change I make in logging the activity is I subtract out the calories I'd burn during that time even if I wasn't exercising, as mfp already adds them into your…

Depends on how heavy your going to lift and if your new to lifting. I did squats for the first time last week, and my quads were so sore I couldn't run until yesterday! I tried to use the treadmill right after lifting, and my legs were dead, and I almost fell off the machine! Hopefully week 2 of legs gets a little better…

Sounds like a man with a service to sell! Not saying there isn't a place for personal trainers, and dietitians, some people need the extra support, but I've found my motivation and drive needs to come from within!!

You can lose weight quickly by doing things the right way. I have lost 111 lbs since the beginning of May. I've accomplished this by first having a lot of weight to lose. I started at 360lbs, and just from getting off the couch and walking 30 minutes a night, and logging my calories, first with Weight watchers and then…

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes! I'm totally down with this being a lifestyle change, but that doesn't mean that with a lifestyle change, that I can't allow myself an occasional indulgence! I will utilize some self control, log what I eat, be accountable for it for the next two days, and then move right along…

Neither number is likely to be correct, they are both just estimates. If the machine at the gym asked for your weight and gender it may be slightly more accurate, but really the best way to track calories is to get a hrm. It is definitely a worthwhile investment! I feel more confident logging my calories knowing they are…

I think its pretty obvious that he is feeling threatened by the amount of time you are spending exercising. What is the reason for this? Is it possible that you are spending time exercising that you were previously spending with him? I understand the need for exercise, but maybe you could try to make some time to remind…

Just finished day 1 of c25k! So far so good. I incorporated it into the first 2 miles of my usual 5 mile walk and not only did it feel great but it made the rest of my walk seem so much easier than usual! Excited for day 2 wednesday!

How much have you lost? 93 lbs How long did it take? 14 weeks On average do you lose more than 2lbs a week? Yes, but I was 170lbs overweight, and lost 23lbs in the first two weeks. Since then it has slowed to between 3 and 6 lbs a week. The funny thing is that I really haven't done anything crazy. I still eat, as you check…

It really appears that you aren't eating anywhere near enough calories. Most days you ate between 650 and 850 calories, with so little weight left to lose you souls be eating all of your calories. This is probably why your weight loss has stopped. Your body is trying to hold onto whatever weight it can! Good luck!

You actually wear the chest strap below your chest muscles, so you should have no problem with fit! I love my polar hrm it takes all the guess work out of recording your calories!
