Male, 35 , 6'1" 210 lbs Deadlift 425 for 3. Goal ->500 Bench 220 for 3. Goal ->300 Squat 285 for 5. Goal->350 Been tinkering with my squat form for quite a while, so it's lagging my deadlift quite a bit. Been working madcow since December with great results! I also run on my off days, three times a week for 3.2 - 4 miles a…

Yeah I still work out 5-6 times a week, three days lifting and 2 or 3 cardio days each week. Gained 20 pounds back but still wear my 34 waist jeans, and they fit as well as ever! BMI says I'm overweight, but I deadlift over 400 pounds, and run a sub 30 minute 5k. No worries here about health or fitness! Stay with it, the…

Great job man! Here is my story, started at over 360 got down to 190 and settled in still at 210 two years later! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/579160-12-months-170lbs-lost-with-photos-what-a-year

Boom... well done! Enjoy your new body and life!

Not much typically shocks me any more, but I had 8 traditional wings and fries as part of the lunch special at Buffalo Wild Wings yesterday, and was truly shocked at the 2,070 calories and 170 grams of fat it contained. Typically hot wings are around 100-125 calories a piece. For some reason theirs are over 200 a piece.…

The biggest key for me has been consistency. I do not skip workouts, and try my best to make good food choices, allowing for occasional indulgences. For almost two years now I have been running three days a week, and lifting three days a week. I take one week every three months totally off of exercise, then do not miss…
-
Do both... I run Saturday, Monday, Wednesday, and lift Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Rest on Fridays.

Just knowing that each day I spend moving forward toward a goal is not a day wasted or spent sliding back. Great results and major changes take time and commitment. Stay with it!

I see the fun police are out in full force today. It's ok to take an OCCASIONAL day off of logging altogether, and days off of exercise aren't just nice, they're mandatory. As long as you can take the day, and have it stop there, then their is nothing wrong with taking a break. It will help keep you sane, and able to stay…

I lost 160 pounds in a year with no surgery... And I think I look pretty fit. Very heavy people handle larger deficits well, and I started lifting heavy at about 120 pounds gone. Do whatever works for you, seeing the scale go down quickly kept me motivated to keep losing, until my behaviors became habits. Which is how I've…

Down under 14% now, started very high, as I was 362 pounds at my heaviest. Getting to 15% goes pretty fast. Dropping below that gets much tougher, for me anyway. Be consistent, log your calories, work out, and everyday you'll be closer to your goal than you were yesterday.

Yeah, but does she squat?!?

Glad I'm not the only one who is thinking this way. I love my son to death, but rules and discipline are part of life. Your child was to be in timeout, not running to be oddled by Mommy when you came in the door. He knew the expectation and wasn't following it. I honestly think you're over reacting, and expecting someone…

Ironically, mine works just fine. It's a polar ft40 with a chest strap. The numbers it provides are very consistent, and actually match up very well with the mfp estimates. I've found people who are over logging exercise in mfp, typically aren't being honest with themselves regarding how hard they are working out. The…

There is nothing wrong with eating all of the things you noted. Make them sometimes foods, and not all the time foods, and account for it elsewhere in your week. Maintaining/losing weight doesn't mean you can't splurge sometimes, and enjoy higher calorie foods. You just need to keep it in the context of your entire intake.
-
Yes after a while my food cravings changed, and so did my mentality about food. I can still eat huge portions of high calorie foods but realize the work required to burn it off now, and most times decide that its just not worth it. Go into this with the thought that you are changing your life and with the realization that…

The best judge would be the results. Try it for 3-4 weeks and see if your losing weight. If your weight goes up or stagnates then drop it back down. Consistency is the key!

Reminds me of a t-shirt I saw, "If squats were easy they'd be called your Mom!" It will get better, just stick with it!
