  • I don't usually eat while at the movie theater, but if I do I'll bring something low-cal: Diet soda, baked or kettle-cooked chips, and sugar free candy, sometimes nuts, raisins, or dried fruit. I tend to eat mindlessly when I'm watching a movie so for me personally it's better if I don't have anything in my hands!
  • I wear my HRM to Zumba and burn about 400-500 per 60 minute class. I think yours might be a little off...I'd check the settings, adjust your chest strap (sometimes during the workout it might say 'check heart rate transmitter', so watch out for that).
  • That is so adorable!!!
  • Brazilian
  • I have a Polar FT7 and I love it! I got this one because after a lot of research and comparing reviews, this was the one that had the best reviews....so I went with it. Edit: The Polar FT4 is a little cheaper and just as good.
  • Sweetener is kind of an acquired taste...you could try doing half sugar/half sweetener until you get used to it, then slowly phase it out. They're all different and I haven't come across one that tastes just like sugar.
  • I loooooooove Nutella! If it wasn't so high in calories I'd eat it every day! But, if you can control yourself and stop after a tbsp or so it's not too bad. Hard to do though, the stuff is like crack
  • Greek? I don't know~
  • I looooooooove candy, it's my weakness!! Anything sweet, really. When we eat so many carbs our body naturally craves them when we don't get them for a while. One thing that worked for me (several times actually) is to just go cold turkey and avoid all of the sweet stuff for a week or two. It's very hard, especially the…
  • http://ohsheglows.com/recipes/ has some good ones :) There's a "Breakfast" link a little ways down, but she also has lunch, dinner, snacks, baked goods, etc.
  • I agree, find people who will support your healthy lifestyle change! What helps me is keeping my food diary open and having my news feed automatically update when I exercise. This keeps me accountable for what I eat as well as the exercise I do because all of my friends can see it! On that note, feel free to add me if…
  • I had the same thing happen when I started my lifestyle change, but acne is different for everyone. You should go to a dermatologist...I did that and they gave me a cream that seems to be working. Acne is really annoying and I have no patience for it, and I tried all of the over-the-counter stuff but a prescription will be…
  • That's amazing, congratulations!! I have P90X and Insanity but injured my ankle right after they came in so I haven't been able to start either yet. After seeing your picture, I can't wait to get started!! Thanks for sharing :flowerforyou:
  • Wow, that's amazing!! You're such an inspiration and you look great! :flowerforyou:
  • I've been here 3 months and only lost 8 while doing everything MFP told me to. You're doing much better than me  Maybe we're just slow losers, but slow and steady means we're more likely to keep it off! Don't feel bad, just think about your accomplishments so far and keep on going! :flowerforyou:
  • "Since I'm eager to get my body regulating again" is what she said. With the pill, you can get off it any time, I just suggested it because a lot of people take it for the hormone regulation, not just for birth control. But I agree with a previous poster - go back to the doc :flowerforyou:
  • Are you on birth control? Sometimes taking the pill will put your body back to normal because the hormones automatically regulate your period....although a lot of them have side effects, so I'd weigh those before deciding what to do.
  • I don't juice very often, but when I do I put it outside on the soil by the plants. Organic matter, it's very good for them and they grow like crazy. But...usually the animals get to a lot of it before it's absorbed, haha.
  • I think about a pound per week is realistic. Some people can do more, it depends on a lot of factors.
  • Make sure you are honest with yourself and track everything you're eating. Maybe get a food scale (in one study that I read...sorry can't remember the name...people underestimated what they ate by 60%!!). As far as exercise, I know it can be difficult to fit in. I used to attend classes all day and then had a job at night…
  • I grew up with Hocus Pocus so that's my favorite! I love it and it's on TV right now!
  • I also put it as circuit training!
  • Me too!! My November goal is to complete all 30 days! Add me if you like, we can keep each other motivated!
  • I broke my ankle a couple of months ago and so I couldn't do any exercise that involved standing, walking, or putting weight on my leg. I looked it up on youtube but if you search "exercising with a lower body injury" or "Cardio with lower body injury" you will get some hits! Most of the exercises will use your upper body,…
  • Yep...I stay away from pretty much all flavored drinks since I started looking at the labels. Unless the ingredient is "water" (and nothing else), don't drink it! Although, coconut water is all right and a good way to replenish electrolytes if you need them!
  • Congrats on your engagement!!! How exciting! Feel free to add me, I'm also getting married in 2012 and would love to give you support (and hopefully receive some in return!) :flowerforyou:
  • Cantaloupe....ewwwww I've never been able to stand it!
  • You could start by supplying healthy foods and snacks in the house for her to eat, or inviting her to come along with you when you exercise. I do think that this site is a little too much for a 12 year old...especially if she reads the forums- some of the stuff people say on here is definitely not for a 12 year old. Just…
  • French fry coated bacon? Chicken fat as a side??? Hahaha, I think I'm with you- will not be celebrating this one! :noway:
