I still eat some processed foods and I've lost 93lbs. It's all about portion control in my opinion. People say processed foods are bad for you but as long as you have some balance in your diet you'll be fine.

I use this website that lists a ton of activities for calories burned. Weight lifting is on the list. I use it all the time and believe it's accurate as I have not gained. http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc

I started out by only walking about 30 minutes a day. I still walk now (almost a year later) but I've added in Hot Yoga. Do what is best for you and what you like to do. Don't feel guilty either.
