That's me! I'm 5' 6" and my goal weight is 120 also. I'm currently 129, though.

I am 5' 6", which is close. I'm 129 now, and my goal weight is 120 lbs. I realize this wouldn't be realistic for every body, but I barely have a chest, and I have a tiny waist. All of my weight is stored in my lower stomach, thighs, and bum so I definitely have some more to lose, plus I'm small framed.

I am 5' 6" and my target weight is 120. It suits my body because I have a tiny waist and upper body, so all of my weight is stored in my lower half and the bottom of my tummy.

I'm a vegetarian... 10 yrs going strong! Welcome to MFP!

I occasionally buy something called "Licorette" which is a no/low calories sugar free licorice pastille. I don't usually eat anything labeled "sugar free" or with those weird ingredients, but I love black licorice, so for me it's a little treat every once in a while to suck on one. I also find that drinking lots of water…

My calorie goal is about 1370, but I have under ten pounds to lose and am not a very big person, so that's a contributing factor. Splurging for me is 1800-2000 calories. Believe me, you are fine. It might even help your weightloss a little. Sometimes if I go over one day, I'll see a loss the next.

I'm not 100% vegan or anything like that, but I have been a vegetarian for many years, and I'm largely intolerant of dairy. Plus I don't really eat milk or eggs, so frequently I have vegan days. I think the main thing that's important for you is finding a balance. There's a lot of non-nutritious food that qualifies as…

I used to keep bees, so I'm personally a bit of a honey snob :P But the stuff in the store is heated and processed so it has no nutritional value and it is basically like eating corn syrup - in fact, some studies have shown that the stuff in the store does have some amount of non-honey add in. There's a lot of other…

I don't eat under 1200 cals per day unless I am not hungry for more. On a typical day I eat more like 1300, with my goal for the day being set at 1370. I think 1200 is too low for a lot of people on here, but I suppose it depends on your goals and what works for you. Sounds like it's not working for you, though! So maybe…

Organic rice cake (60 cals) with a little raw honey and some banana slices! Frozen bananas food processed with a little cocoa powder - it tastes like chocolate ice cream! A tablespoon on almond butter on some fruit. Fruit by itself is quite the perfect snack as well!

I'm interested! CW: 130 GW: 120 Height: 5' 6" No photo at the moment. I would like to lose 10lbs, maintain regular exercise, and continue with healthy eating habits/very minimal processed sugar and grains.

I strongly believe that processed sugar is addictive - I know it is for my body. Like, really, genuinely addictive. It doesn't work for me to have just a little of something very often, so I prefer to cut it all out. I chew gum, drink tea, drink carbonated water with lemon, eat fruit leather and lots of fruit. Eating whole…

I think I lost more weight doing low carbs, but low calories is WAY easier for me to maintain, therefor the better option. I don't eat very many processed grains at all, but I think if I did it would affect my weight loss negatively. I couldn't eat low carb again, though, because eating so much dairy and high protein was…

I leave all my fruit in a bowl on the countertop aside from things like berries. Limes, lemons, mango, banana, avocado, apples, oranges, pears - all fine! If I'm worried it's going to go bad, I eat it or freeze it to put in a smoothie later. Keep an eye on your produce, eat it regularly, buy the right amount and you should…

I love a big salad with some avocado, brown rice, and a good dressing. Yum! I also recently made some delicata squash cooked with a little bit of honey and coconut/olive oil that I loved. You can make some really good sweet potato "fries," which is actually just baked sweet potato. You soak the cut up sweet potato in water…

I used to weigh myself every day, but I found that it put too much mental stress on me if I gained back a few ounces or a pound even though I knew it was only water weight. I'm now challenging myself to only weigh in once a week and see how that works out for me. I log my new weight when I'm sure it will stick (usually…

The way that I can afford healthy groceries are: #1 I am very lucky to be able to have a low income discount card at my local food co-op. I don't know how available something like that might be other locations (which is why I count my blessings!) but it might be something to look into. #2 I buy things in a large amount and…

My trick is almond butter. Sometimes I'll have 400-500 exercise calories and I similarly feel like I can't eat another whole meal. A couple tablespoons of almond butter with a banana takes care of 300 calories. Or an avocado! Something healthy and calorie dense is the trick.

I've been a vegetarian for ten years. There was a point in time where the foods I was eating (as a vegetarian) were really not nourishing my body or good for me. Within the past two years especially I've changed that and I have never felt better. I know some people personally who really suffered as vegetarians because they…

Sometimes I do eat my lunch around 10:30 or 11 in the morning if I feel like it, but I always drink a glass or two of water or tea with every meal - it makes me feel full a lot longer. I also chew gum and or eat a piece of fruit like an apple or banana if I really feel like I need to snack on something.

Yoga and taking baths. Reading a great book, drinking lots and lots of tea.

I think for me it is the opposite. I have noticed the sweating to really help clear out my skin. I think it might also have something to do with the amount of water I drink before/during/after the class.

I really enjoy bikram yoga, also known as "hot yoga," which is an hour and a half class done in a room heated to about 100 degrees. Taking this class has helped with back problems, flexibility, my skin, toning my body, increasing my strength, as well as some mental clarity/stress release. I really like it.

I ate 100% raw for about two months. This was basically only fruits, veggies, and nuts/seeds. I really love raw foods, I love fruits, I love vegetables - so there were some really great things about a 100% raw diet. However, it did not work for me for the long term. I now eat more like 60-80% raw, and my body feels a lot…

You are a very beautiful woman, with or without the weight loss! Congratulations on your success :)

Hey! I am pretty similar. I am definitely not 100%, but I try to eat and buy mostly organic foods and produce. I eat a lot of clean foods, organic unprocessed foods, local raw foods, etc. I also try and use natural body products, like I wash my hair with baking soda, clay and goldenseal on my face, and use honey to keep my…
