I still eat carbs, and I am building muscle. I eat high protein to counter balance the carbs, carbs for breakfast and lunch and very low carbs for dinner in form of veggies. I would suggest you google a weight training diet, they are low carb not no carb. It is very hard to sustain no carb for a long period of time and the…

Take 3 bites of my food I crave and toss it in the trash. It works for me, I do not believe in depriving myself of something I really want. this was not a diet for me but a life style change and I feel you should be able to eat what you want but within moderation and 80 to 90% of the time my choices are healthy but like…

Being skinny no, being healthy yes! People now refer to me as skinny! I have to laugh, if I had neer been fat I would just be normal..........

Ditto, I never thought I would hit goal, I sat at the same weight no matter what I did for weeks on end.

You both look amazing, keep up the good work. A great story!

Thanks for making me smile, you have done a total transformation, you look amazing!

I pre-plan most of my meals and I also use the recipie builder a lot to build my meals so I know exactly what I am going to eat. It helps me stay focused. I edit if I do not eat what I planned.

I eat between 1200 and 1500 calories a day.

56 here and have lost 120lbs in two years. You are never too old to take charge of your life and your health.

Not an expert but you are not eating any protein before your lunch meal. Morning meal should consist of some carbs. I eat around 1200 calories a day and this is what a day looks like for me. Breakfast: Oatmeal with 3 egg whites, 1/4 cup Blueberries and 2 Pecan Halves Snack: Protein Bar or Shake Lunch: 4 ozs Chicken or…

I rarely eat back my exercise calories unless it is a special occasion. I pay more attention to trying to achieve greater than 100 gms of protein a day especially on the days I do strength training. From my own personal experience I know I lose better if I eat around 90-100gms of protein and close to 1200 calories a day. I…

Trousers that fall below the natural waist line will cause your tummy to hang over and make you look bigger than you actually are. I suggest you look on lone for trousers that fall at your natural waist line, these are more difficult to find but until you can flatten your lower tummy these work. I had the same issue as I…

I went through this last year and it was very frustrating. I injured my knee in August last year and was not able to fully return to exercise until Jan 2012. I finally had to have surgery to clean up the joint and a little repair work. Good news is I now have 130 degree flexion back and back at full exercise. I will never…

I gave up explaining to others why I chose to eat the way I do, I think my weight loss speaks for it self. I sometimes want to say to others, have you looked in the mirror lately and if you had maybe you would chose more wisely. I am very chosey these days what I put into my body. i believe we do this for ourselves and no…

Congratulations Gary, you have done an amazing job. I also am a weight loss surgery patient and have lost 70 lbs. I love your comment that the surgery gave you the tool you needed to succeed. Because it really is only a tool, it is harder than dieting ever was and forces you to get your head on straight if you really want…
