  • It probably won't be a disaster, but it's definitely not good on your body. If you're a new runner, you need time to recover. Two long distance runs in two days is a recipe for injury. If you're dead set on it, do it smart - maybe run/walk both. Be sure to go at an easy pace. Stretch, ice, refuel well, and rest in between.
  • Sounds like shin splints. Get good shoes, and start SLOW - mileage and speed wise. Ice shins after running, even if they didn't hurt. Good luck!
