I like the king arthur brand of gluten free flour. Its reasonably priced and works like the normal stuff

the picture in my profile shows me over 34% body fat and then me right at 20% (measured with calipers). I'm 5' 7.25" and the weights at each time are on my photo at that given time.

so it seems I have found cheese-fiends anonymous! thank goodness do the wine-o's meet here also?
-
this is my goal! I currently use the really skinny assistance band at crossfit and I'm so close to doing it on my own!

-
BAHAHAHAHA who told you my secret?

go read New Rules of Lifting for Women...its a great start basically, we lift the same as men (gasp!--shocking i know). Our genetic make up is such that we won't get bulky, only lean and HOT!

exactly. Also, a healthy diet can make all the difference because you cannot out-exercise a poor diet! Avoid processed stuff and stick to meat, fish, veggies, and fruits.

I use a fairly clean paleo/primal diet most of the time and then do a Whole30 just prior to competitions. It works wonders and then carb cycling is a nice trick to use as well.
-
yep, this is all about getting the technique right by flipping the bell over just before the top and engaging your wrist so it doesnt smack your forearm.

MEEEEE!!! but im injured so i'm in forced rest mode now :( cant wait to get back!!!!!
-
ive done it and i'll never do it again. Im a runner and a crossfitter and i didnt find it to be a "fun" event. The electrocution obstical in particular was the most painful thing i've ever experienced in my entire life. I'm seeking therapy from it. lots of people have fun, maybe the wire I touched was just overelly…

though im injured now, I follow the paleo/primal diet that ends up being low carb (less than 70-100 g of carbs a day) and my performance is better than ever. I do eat between 1600-2300 calories a day though and that is the key to fuel my endurance runs. Your body does not need a ton of carbs consumed--it can make what it…

best idea EVER!!!! Now, I have the damn song stuck in my head! lol

upon a quick glance of your food diary, I noticed two things: 1) lots of eating at restaurants. When you are trying to lose weight and get healthy, it is very important to try and cook as many meals at home so that you know EXACTLY what you are eating. It is also EASIER to stick to a plan when you dont have a menu of…

during a crossfit competition two weekends ago, I was doing 24" box jumps and was trying to go too quickly (to WIN, you know!) and I ended up smashing my shin on the side of the box when I didn't quite make it to the top. I ended up not finishing the competition and instead visiting the ER for 4 internal stitches and 7…

I LOVE the rower...it is a killer work out that is low(er) impact than running. try to do a 2000m row as fast as you can....KILLER! (8:10 is my best) form is super important; the movement is driven by your LEGS not your arms/back/shoulders!!!

lol. fabulous. I love your humor. I also had a similar experience with gluten. I was a vegetarian, a healthy one, for several years while in college. After graduating, I started developing really bad heartburn. I mean BAD, cant breathe/function, bad. I've always had some degree of heart burn even previously when eating…

Thanks for the advice! I don't think I was using a heavy enough bar to need to drop but ill make sure I put emphasis on catching it lower tonight. Also, the bar being too far away from me---I felt like it was going to hit my nose but clearly this is not the case. Ill work on this and the back/hip movement also and post…

two words: GIG 'EM!!!!!!

great results! Make sure you are getting in ~0.7-1.2 g of protein per lb of body weight to avoid losing muscle
