I'm apprehensive eating pretty much anything that I haven't prepared myself. Most recipies I make I can accurately figure out with help of the recipe builder, but I get a little twitchy when someone else cooks for me. I'm working on getting over this, its hard to let go of that control sometimes. But I realize its part of…

I'm no expert, however depending on your training goals, whether your working toward endurance or to burn fat, it is better to be in different zones. The lower zones are more sustainable for longer times so I believe you burn more fat, higher zones are more for building your over all endurance. At least that's how I…

I usually grab a box of Jr. Mints or Raisinetts and a bottled water. I adore theater popcorn, but try to stay away from it.

Varies between Steel cut oats with a fruity greek yogurt on-top, a protein shake, or an egg on an English muffin with hummus. Calorie count varies from about 275-350 depending on the day. I also try for a high protein snack and piece of fruit mid morning. Seems to be working for me so far.

Yep, guilty as charged here. Lost 65 pounds 5 years ago prior to getting married. Ended up gaining about 40 of that back, mostly due to reverting back to my old eating and drinking habits, partially due to a stressful work environment. About 2 years ago I lost about 30 and over the next year gained it all back again, same…

I've never been officially diagnosed as PCOS, but have been told by my Dr. and former RN that its highly likely I have it and prior ultra-sounds have shown evidence of cysts. I've struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. For me, the key to my success has been exercise. I have to watch what I eat pretty…

I confess: I drank far too much beer last night, and only logged about half of it I like getting on the scale after a night of drinking because dehydration drives my numbers down I ate way too much cheese dip and crackers and called it lunch Was supposed to run today...didn't even make a quarter mile before I wimped…

I've had the Flex for going on 4 months now and find it to be a great motivator. I agree, it's not 100% accurate, but its pretty darn close. I figure for ever "mis-tracked" step it registers, there is probably another one it misses. If you're looking for an overall trend of your daily activity, it is great. There are a few…

Most HRM's you can program in your current weight, activity level, etc so it can better calculate your burn based on your measured heart rate. The machines at the gym give kind of a generic reading. My HRM always shows a higher burn than gym equipment. I've never doubted it.

My gym is 24/7...I plan on utilizing it Thursday morning after I get some dinner prep done. Having a late dinner so I have all of the first part of the day to myself. I don't think that makes me all that douchey.
