I've almost given up my stubborn belief that as long as i stay under my calories, it does't matter how i do it. I used to think it would be okay if I ate fast food all day long, as long as i stayed under my calories. and in the beginning, that did work, but as my body has adjusted, I have to eat healthy calories, or my…

Granted, I just finished week 6 of the C25K, so I'm the very definition of newbie, but I am sticking with the plan until I finish the program. At 270 pounds, I think my knees respect me more for limiting my running to 3x a week. I run Mon, Wed, and Sat; I walk and do weight resistance training on Tues, Thurs, and…

You'd think being told how gorgeous and beautiful and lovely I am would eventually grow old, but nope, not yet! Thanks, sweetie, totally love you too! :smooched:

Great advice! And since I don't have time to read all the posts either, it isn't something I've seen before. Thanks for taking the time to post this information for those of us who needed it today!

So far this week, I'm good on the challenges for Monday thru Thursday, water every day, but over on calories on Tuesday. :-( First time since challenge began! Also been doing extra walking, sit-ups, and jumping jacks. Will update with today and tomorrow's on Saturday. Btw... Are we sending in pictures of after shots?

I totally agree. What awesome, amazing, incredible, inspiring, and lovely people who are on this site! And Slim, you're right at the top of that list, sugar. :smooched:

Glad to be making you happy here lately then! :-) What makes ME happy to see in other people? I love it when others start to run also! I'm so addicted now, I want to talk about it all the time, so it's such a rush to find out someone else recently began and is as excited as I am. I like to talk shoes, gait, stride,…

I notice working out has helped me sleep better, whereas before I didn't rest that well. That doesn't answer your question, but I think it shows there's a correlation between the two. With all due respect to the new mom (terrific job, btw), I think we can't really compare ourselves to a woman who's just had a baby due to…

I know I don't know nothing about nothing, but do you really think 3000 calories a day are enough? Shouldn't you be eating closer to 5000? It's your option whether or not to eat your inertia calories--some people think they help you gain weight like you want, while others think they may, in fact, cause your body to lose…

I run in a pair of $40 New Balance walking shoes I bought for cheer practice a year ago... When I first started, I had some foot and hip pain, but after research, I realized I supinate, primarily with just my right foot, and I started practicing correcting that. Idk if you're supposed to be able to do that, but it…

My tap water is filtered. I fill up old bottles and keep cold water in the fridge and try not to waste money on plastic.

I was under on cals, drank my water, and did all the exercises, plus my crunches. I even did around 60 extra crunches (as a break between jumping jacks!). I did my JJs on the trampoline to spare my knees, but I definitely did all 400 and more, since I'd forget what my count was and have to start over! :-p Weight today:…

Oh, ho, that's awesome! I remember the first time I didn't have to do the "elbow stretch" to the gut section of my t-shirts. Great NSV!

I'm totally a meat eater too, usually, but I didn't miss it in the least! But let me know how yours turns out- I might want to try it next time!

Yep, I'm quite adept at "snapping" them from others' pages! In this case, the Betty Crocker website!

I grew up on a dairy farm, but we had horses. I saw my dad almost get killed by one while rescuing a cow during a flood, and was just always scared of them after that. THEN I read Seabiscuit. I'm not exactly riding horses every day now, but I totally approach them differently, and I LOVE the races because of that book.…
