  • Just think how itchy it'd be growing back in... and the upkeep... nah. Don't do it!
  • I started running July 2010. For about 3 weeks, haha! I started again July 1, 2011! And I haven't stopped yet. I still don't like it, but I know it's important! I only run 3x a week, and I'm working on time... not distance. But I note my distance, so I know how fast I ran. I'm on a program called WorkoutBOX.com that is a…
  • Though I have never tried it personally, I have 2 friends that LOVE Jillian Michaels' Shred It with Weights! They say it's so fun, its like they aren't even working out.
  • I'm fairly new to running, but I don't stretch either. :ohwell: I get a little sore, but I think it's more from the resistance training I do for 30 min after more than the running. I simply run (ha, pun!) out of time to get ready for work, and, mind you, this is getting up at 520am to get in a workout before the day starts…
  • I decided to go ahead and try it this morning and YES it was like Thanksgiving for Breakfast! mmmm.... I used: 1/4c quick oats = 75 cal 1/4c whole milk =38 cal (I only use whole milk, but a lesser % milk would be even healthier!) 1/4c water 2T Pure Pumpkin = 10 cal (it said 1/2c was 40cal, and 1/2 cup is 8T  ) 2T…
  • My daily aim is 300-400 cal per meal. Sometimes I go over, sometimes I way under eat. (Like today, I have over 700 cal left!) But I don't snack during the day, so that makes it easier to know my meal goal. Good luck!
  • Oh my goodness! I was thinking that today too! Totally tempted to break down and make some! But, then I got to thinking, maybe I could add a little pumpkin to my oatmeal in the morning, and some cinnamon/nutmeg and a touch of brown sugar? Don't yet know what that would be cal wise, but it sure sounds yummy!
  • I use WorkoutBOX.com. It;s a purchase program, but I got mine for less than a 1.20 per week (each program is a 26week program, you purchase at once)! I've only used for a month now (I started July 1st) but so far it's been good for me. It does cardio, then resistance training. Pretty cool, I think!
  • I think that is exactly why we are all there! To change the view of our relationship to food! Make it work for us, not against us! Good luck on your journey!
  • Oh yeah! Of course! haha, I went shopping the other day, and instead of doing all the math to see what COSTS more per seving/oz/lb, etc, I was looking at all the calories. Did you know there is such crazy calorie differences in HOMINY brands? Ok, so I don't know about other people, but I usually grab the generic, cheaper…
  • I too have always dealt with shin splints! They are NO FUN! Ouchie! But, while I still have some discomfort, I changed my shoes, and it makes it tolerable! And I didn't spend a fortune on them. I think I got them on sale for $50. It def helped!
  • When you add exercise, the calorie tracker automatically adds the "exercise" calories to your daily goal... Say ou goal (before exercise) is 1200. It says you earned an extra 300, making your daily "goal" 1500. You're allowed to eat those 300 cal! :flowerforyou:
  • I've taken Loestrin for 2 years now. In fact, I'm pretty sure that Loestrin is what caused me to gain weight. I've gained 20lbs (!!!), 12 of them in the first year. I also have NOT had a period at all since I started on it.

  • I wonder how many men look at this simply because of the title  Anyways.... I can't help, since, I'm on Loestrin 24, and haven't had a period for 2 years (today!) which is kinda... weird. Lets just say I'm not looking forward to going OFF the pill, and told my husband when we decide to try having kids, he better get…
  • I don't know how you usually eat it, but my way of cooking it: 1fillet (98cal) sliver of butter (real) (about 1/8 of a tsp) (10-20cal) as much garlic salt and pepper as I feel like (calorie free!) Cook in alum foil on grill (15min), in crockpot (4hrs), or in covered dish in Microwave (6min) When I have extra calores, and I…
  • Is this JUST from the 30DS? Or have you been doing ohter stuff too/before? Either way, you look phenominal!
  • BAHAHAHA... Pete, did you choose that picture on purpose???
  • My husband is HARDWORKIN'. And he truly loves God, and it's his goal to be the husband that helps me get to heaven, not distract me from that. That to me, is amazingly attractive.
  • I think You're my new favoritest person EVER!
  • I too needed this chastisement... I've been working out (not as religiously as the original poster, but running 40 min 3 days a week, and walking 2 miles (about 30 min) on the other days) since July 1st... I haven't seen much difference... the first week I lost 4lbs (I knew this would happen, water I'm guessing?) and…
  • Good job yo!
  • Texas Panhandle here... but not by choice! I'd rather be back in my home-state of CO this summer, where they're actually getting RAIN!
  • Tried it. It sucked. Didn't lose weight, and didn't feel better. I ended up too lethargic to do anything, and just wanted to sleep. My poor husband had to deal with a crying, cranky girl after6days of it. And I followed the directions. :S Pass.
  • My weigh days are the 15th and 30th/31st (last day) of every month. I am gonna stick with that, if that's ok. I don't like to weigh each week.
  • I agree... especially on the days when I exercise, and have more calories to eat, I usually eat less. I guess I'm teaching, or taught, my stomach that I don't need as much food as it had been getting. I think its more mental, for me, than anything else.
  • I have my own personal 26 week challenge going on. Having started July 1, the end date just happens to be New years Eve! The goal is to be back at 120, the healthy weight for my height. I started on July 1 at 140. And, maybe, as I go, if I see that I am losing inches because of muscle gain, but not weight, I'll…
  • I don't drink water before, but I drink lots afterwards.
  • Yes, me too!
