Hey! I'm pregnant too! But I'm only 10 weeks today, so still in my 1st Tri. However, this is what I was told: Trimester 1: Just eat maintenance cals (for me, 1400-1500 cal/day), Trimester 2: Add 200 cal per day to maintenance cal, Trimester 3: Add 300 cal per day to maintenance. Eat at least 80g of protein a day - if you…

Also, to those that question why in the world people run while carrying - It's not the "bad guys" I carry for - 90% of my reasoning is the stray dogs, the rattle snakes. I've had packs of stray dogs surround me. Have I used my gun yet, no. It is an extremely last resort. But you can bet that my gun was at the ready when I…

Booy howdy! I work in a gun shop, and we got our first one in yesterday, in fact. Man, they are uuuggleeeeyyy. May be good for snakes, yes, but definitely not what I would carry for concealed. I, myself, carry a semi-auto LCP Talo. .380. I'm a little gal, so anything bigger than that is unconcealable. I tried to carry my…

I starting running last summer. Was running 3x/wk, for 20-30 min at a time, making it maybe 2-2.5mi. Then I slacked off for 4 months thanks to multiple illness and wisdom teeth removal, and holidays. Got back into it in February. Could barely run 1.5mi. But made myself still run 3x/wk. In April I challenged myself to run…

I lived in Abilene for 2 years... so many good friends and memories there! Hope you find workout buddies!

I weigh and measure in on the 15th and the last day of every month, as soon as I get up, after using the bathroom, before my workout. I try not to get on the scale too much. And I learned that going two weeks shows me a bigger number of ups and downs, not the little .5, .8 that vary with every sip, pee, and hiccup,…

You know MFP records and tracks (with a graph) the loss too, right? weight, and all measurements are already there for the taking. But, if you do just becasue you love spreadsheets, I hear ya! I love excel, and use it for way more than I should, haha. But if you do it on excel because you didn't know about mfp reports, I…

Running a 11min mile for 4 miles, my average heart rate is 170. It used to be 188, but has lessened as I've done it more. My typical high when I run sprints is 190. RHR is 77. I'm 23, and only 5' at 129lb. Sooo... I don't know what that means, I guess just to give some perspective.

23 here, also just trying to lose a bit, maybe 10 more, from the 10 I've already lost, to tighten and tone. :glasses:

Yes! Meredith Lorraine for a little girl (ooor Meredith Mae - I was born in May, and my middle name is Jae, so a meshing of those is liked as well) and Miles Thurman for a little boy. Miles is my father-in-law's middle name - but we didn't choose it because of that, it just happens to be his middle name, haha. My husband's…

BC is GONE! I would have started a new pack today, but nope! I'm hoping that I can start losing now. I lost 10lbs jan 2010 - August 2010, and since then I've been stuck! I ran 44 miles in May and didn't lose a single pound, or drop a single inch. Sooo... maybe it's the bc tricking my body into holding on the weight? We'll…

I'm with ya sister. I'm 5' even, and have been sitting at 130 for 4 months. Sucky to all get out. I cried this morning. I've run 45 miles in May, running 3-4 miles 3-4x/wk and walk with a friend 2-3x/wk for an hour - and I haven't lost a single pound and lost no inches (I weigh and measure every 2wks). I've stayed at 1200…

I too can feel that egg release. None of my friends can, and they think I'm nutso and making it up. Hmmm... But on the other side of your comment, I don't know. I've never thought about it being the cause before. Interesting. Now it's something to being interested about. :P And probably frusterated over. Tho, if that IS…

I love to eat frozen cool whip with frozen raspberries sprinkled over the top. mmmm... That's my version of ice cream, any day! I'll have to try your version tho!

/\ This. Stephanie is ALWAYS confused for Bethany - no matter the age or gender of the person. Also, there are several people that call me Stephy, after I clearly use my full name upon introduction. I'm sorry, but I will NOT let that slide.

I think that the goal of how many times you exercise and how many minutes per week you exercise are mostly for your record keeping. To see how many minutes a week you're currently working out, do you need to add more, are you regularly exercising more than you originally thought you could. For me, I just changed my goal of…

70 miles north of Amarillo here!

Oh, I am, I am! I'll be 23 in a couple weeks. Not a student, just an old married woman, workin' full time. :P

I've been workingo n running for a year and a half, and not being very dedicated, I've had to start over several times. This time, I've got it in the bag tho! Middle of March I started running (I say running, but its a fast jog, SLOW run 10-13mm, depending on the day/circumstances) and could only go about 1.5mi, in about…

Can't stop hopping on the scale? Have a friend take it away for a week. :D I weigh myself a couple of times per week, but I only record my weight and take measurements on the 15th and last (30th/31st) day of each month. That gives me a 2week span to see a real difference, but I still monitor my weekly behavior, as I feel…

Hi ladies! I'm here to get healthy pre-pregnancy too, obviously. I've never been really overweight, in fact, I've always been the smallest in my family. But once I got married 2.5yrs ago, I gained... and gained... Up nearly 20lb on my 5' frame in the first year alone, I saw myself going the way of my family. I didn't want…

ooh, Me! I'd like to be down to 120 (130 now, 142 when started mfp) (I'm 5' even). My belly is my fat-gathering place, so I dread what my post-pregnancy belly would look like, were I to get pregnant right now. So, hoorah for all the *hopefully* soon babies and "hot mama" bodies!

Losing the weight and becoming physically healthy is a definite factor for me. But that's just a partial. - and maybe the smaller part. For me its mental health. Mental health affects spiritual health. Spiritual health affects my marriage's health. And my marriage's health will affect everything else in my life. It's a…

I started drinking it because in the winter I always wanted something hot.... Hot Apple Cider, Cappuccino, Hot Chocolate, Chai (No coffee for me, bleck!), etc. And I was reading a JIllian Michaels book, and she stressed drinking it. So I thought, what the hey! What do I have to lose (Except an extra 20lb, haha!) and went…

My husband eats eggs (3!) 6 outta 7 days a week, and the stinker is incredibly slim. He's TRYING to bulk up, and I'm TRYING to slim down. I read Jillian Michaels' "Master Your Metabolism", and while I'm not 100% on board with what the book says, it did give me a great basis for meals: Grains and fruits and dairy for…

Did you gain/lose weight? I did gain, but I think that come from cooking 3 meals a day everyday once I got married, as opposed to the pill itself. But I do think it made it harder to take the weight off. Headaches? nope breast swelling? not swelling..but my breasts did get larger - alot. haha. period changes?I was SUPER…

@ "ReaAnn" - It's so funny you posted it right after me, becasue that's my sister's name... only spelled right. And it's a rare name to stumble upon!

Jae. I came along thirdly... brother was named after my dad, sister was named after my mom... so what were they to name the last??? Grama's were "Jean" and "Joan" and since they didn't plan on having a fourth (I was a surprise!), they didn't want to choose one Gma over antoher... so I got initialed! But I love it. Always…

That's ok... you use words like "colossal" so that makes you awesome!

thanks ya'll. I def won't drive out of a straw... which is hard because I use cups with straws/lids everyday. But I've heard the horrors of dry sockets, and trying to avoid. And I don't smoke. And funny story in regards to the drinking: I had never gotten real anesthesia (like to sleep) before, and I was asking the nurse…
