Wisdom Tooth Surgery - what can I "eat" that is healthier?

So, I had wisdom tooth removed this morning... didn't eat anything after 7 last night.... slept most the day. I am STARVING! I want food that is yummy, and healthy, and filling. All I've eaten so far is mashed potatoes (which were good, and I had made them earlier and frozen them for this occasion, so I knew what the calorie load was), pudding, applesauce, frozen yogurt. But none of those got me UNhungry. I need real food. I need food that isn't a bajillion calories. I need food that I don't have to chew, and I need food that isn't HOT (warm, ok, but they said no hot).
Has anyone any yummy ideas, that I could have HUBBY make (It makes me nauseous to stand/walk), and that doesn't require going to the store? (we live in a little town a ways from a real grocery)
I'd love the help!

I had mine taken out 2 months ago! Hope you're doing okay with it!!
I did a lot of soup in addition to the other stuff you mentioned ... I got some tomato basil bisque, some creamy butternut squash soup, etc. Things that weren't chunky but still filling...I also ate oatmeal - not the packaged stuff, but regular old fashioned oatmeal (I added a little bit of cane sugar and cinnamon).
Oh and jell-o!
Good luck!!!0 -
When I had my wisdom teeth out, I waited 2 days eating that junk then moved onto real food and liquor haha they told me a week off of both. Stick it out for a day or 2 more and you'll be fine. Just don't smoke or drink thru a straw (or play beer pong, I blew the stiches out of both bottom holes trying to blow the ball out)0

Well, that was dumb!! lol
My go-to thing when I have dental work done is Boost drinks. They taste good and have a bunch of nutrition and just enough calories. Its not like actually eating but your teeth (and lack of teeth) will thank you. And yeah...steer clear of straws for sure.0 -
Ensure? It's not just for old people any more0

Have a protein shake:
Protein powder
Peanut or Almond butter
banana
spinach
milk
drink it without a straw.
Don't worry so much about calories during this time. I had mine out about a month ago and it SUCKED, so I get where you're coming from. Just rest up, take your meds and try to heal

thanks ya'll. I def won't drive out of a straw... which is hard because I use cups with straws/lids everyday. But I've heard the horrors of dry sockets, and trying to avoid. And I don't smoke.
And funny story in regards to the drinking:
I had never gotten real anesthesia (like to sleep) before, and I was asking the nurse what it was like:
Nurse: have you ever gotten laughing gas?
Me: No
Nurse: How old are you?
Me: 22
Nurse: Oh, ok. Well then, it's just like having too many margaritas.
Me: Dunno what that's like either.
Nurse: Oh. Well, then I'm out of ways to explain it! *laughs*
So, basically, ya'll don't have to have worry about me drinkin either.0
