  • Apparently I've finally gotten over my plateau....the numbers are starting to go down again!! Woohoo!! I just weighed in this morning at 156
  • If you like beer a Coors Light is only 104 cal?? Or the new MGD with only 64 cal!
  • Just remember...the weight that takes the longest to lose will be the weight that stays off!! Good job on the 3 lbs - I've only lost 11 lbs so far, but have lost like 8-9 inches and it feels great to fit back into some of my old clothes again and starting to see muscle definition again. It might seem hard to stay…
  • I also found it to be an issue only consuming 1200 per day - I was feeling light headed and shaky. I did what Anna suggested and changed my settings to 1 lb/wk and I feel much better. I haven't really noticed a difference in weight loss (less or more)- still losing at the same pace, but feel more energized!
  • I'm up for the challenge - my CW is 159 and I hope to weigh in under 155 by x-mas time. There are going to be a lot of temptations to avoid from now until then - so here's to WILL POWER!!
  • As long as you are eating properly I can't see that making you look "sick"?? Are you hydrating your body properly with 6-8 cups of water every day (as hard as it may be some days)? I think the dry skin could just be that it's almost winter (assuming you live in a cold climate) - my face likes to peel away from the dry air…
  • I couldn't imagine having to go through this twice in one month!! I'm a sour candy junkie myself - and those breyer's ice cream cones - who can resist! LOL
  • Is it just me...or do you feel like a pig about a week before "Aunt Flow" shows up? All I want to do is stuff my face no matter how much water I drink!!
  • First one is from Aug 08, 2nd one is from last week......sorry - don't have any good body shots.:ohwell:
  • Way to go Cyberswitch!! that's awesome!!
  • Scales are evil - but addicting!! I'm not sure why I feel the urge to weigh myself all the time? I usually step on the scale 3 times and take the most frequent number that comes up. Digital scales can be wonky!! Measurements are definately the way to go - cause you could be gaining muscle - so your weight doesn't always…
  • That was a good one! lol
  • That's exactly what I've done!! I didn't want to gain weight while not smoking and I needed something to pre-occupy myself so I didn't think about smoking. I'm starting to feel so much better - working out and eating better is just becoming a routine now rather than a chore.
  • I set a goal that I would get under 160 by the end of this month and this morning I weighed in and have reached my mini goal!! I'm so excited to be in the 150's again, it's been about 2 years since I've been in this range.
  • I AM SO FREAKIN' MAD!!! I can't believe Vicky is still there! ARG!!!
  • Thanks arjames82, I think I'm gonna go check it out this afternoon and give it a go!
  • I think Amy will go over to the black team like what's her face did last season from the pink team? The black team shall prevail in the end!! muuhahaha!! LOL:laugh:
  • Has anyone done this class before (Goodlife/Exclusively Women's gym members?) I'm thinking of trying it, but just wondered what others think of it first?
  • I joined Sept 08 and have lost 10 lbs since joining. MFP was definately an eye opener for me - never realized how much crap I was consuming on a daily basis until I joined this. My motivation to lose weight was because I also quit smoking in Sept 08 and didn't want to be one of those ppl who gain a ton of weight when they…
  • I'm looking to get this too - I think Jillian Michaels rocks as a trainer! If you want to order it online, go to www.jillianmichael.com and I think it's only like $8.00 US? I'm hoping to get it for Christmas, put it on my list! There are a lot of other videos that she has that also look good.
  • It could just be that your metabolism has gotten better and your body needs more fuel?!
  • Joined a gym again on Wed, haven't been to the gym in umm.....3 years! I'm afraid of what my results are gonna be like for cardio - at least I've been working out a home I guess for the past 2 months, so I'm not a fish right out of water. Wish me luck!
  • I was wondering this myself yesterday - cause the machine I was on at the gym kept telling me to slow down to reduce my heartrate, but I felt completely fine while working out - could still talk, etc. So last night I counted my RHR which was 56 bpm and found a website that calculated based on my weight and age and RHR what…
  • That's a crazy low amount of cal's to intake when they are working out for 4-5 hrs per day!! That was an interesting link that you found - I would definately pick Jillian over Bob.
  • That's awesome...way to go!! I can't wait until I HAVE TO go shopping for new clothes...hehe
  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! :flowerforyou: 10 + my 4 = 14
  • Don't forget to do your strength training too - the more lean muscle you have the more fat will be burned!
  • Same, I've noticed the boobs and butt for me - tummy not so much yet! Your body will burn away the fat that is easiest to burn first, once that is gone it will have no where else to take from and start burning in the areas where you hold the most weight. A co-worker of mine told me something pretty interesting - and this…
  • I don't know if it's just me, but everytime I do an ab workout I feel like I'm gonna hurl - especially when doing the ISO bike move fast for 30 sec straight! Maybe it's just cause I've had 2 kids and my abs are extremley weak - but my abdomins feel like they are being ripped apart!!
  • I felt like that yesterday too!! I was doing my workout and normally the 10 minute segments that I do fly by, but yesterday they seemed to last forever!! After that I just vegged out on the recliner for the rest of the night. I blame it on the lack of daylight! I've felt less energetic now that it gets darker earlier. I…
