Don't deprive yourself of everything, just eat it in moderation...you'd be suprised how much your taste buds will change once you start eating healthier foods. You will learn to appreciate those treats!! The other day my husband was eating a little chocolate santa clause thing and I took a little bite and it tasted like…

if you've been working out for the past 2 months it's quite possible that you've gained lean muscle, but your body fat % has dropped? Are your clothes fitting differently?

You should try to at least eat your daily calories, especially if it's only 1,200 per day. MFP is already creating a deficit so you are already under what your body is really burning in a day. For example, I burn an average of 1,840 per day based on the work I do (see Goals for more details), so my daily intake with an…

Try to watch your sodium intake, the soup & crackers are probably high in sodium which then will make you retain water (not to say you eat that everyday). And you want to make breakfast bigger than a banana to get that metabolism going first thing in the morning, get a little more protein & grains in there (harder for your…

Check out this website, I found it very helpful to give me ideas for strength training. All you really need is a set of dumbells, if you have an exercise ball than that's a bonus. I made myself a booklet that I can refer to when I feel like switching up my weights routine.…

I hear ya!! When I started it seemed impossible to stay under 1200 cals a day and than before you know it you are struggling to eat enough PLUS working out! Try to eat more snacks throughout the day, just little snacks and aim for each meal to be about 300-400 cals. I increased my cal intake to 1340 a day (1 lb a week…

Sounds like a rough day, but don't beat yourself up over it. Maybe next time go for a walk on your lunchbreak to let out some stress. I know what it's like, I'm the same age as you, but I have been with my husband for 7 years and married for 3. Had my first kid when I was 18 and my second by 21. Married life & kids is…

So...woke up this morning and was completely fine, not sore!! Extra streching definately helpful!
-
Just be sure to change up your routine a little every 4 weeks or so, otherwise your body will just get used to what you are doing and keep a variety of foods in your diet. Good to change up what you eat, trick your body with different foods and exercises.

I did Day 2 yesterday and not really sore today, extra stretching for sure helps!!

I know what you mean though, these ppl are so excited to get a 2nd chance at life and it was just a tease to go to the Ranch for a week.

Nobody likes those kinds of twists, but they gotta keep it interesting somehow!! It'll be interesting to see who stays motivated enough to stay on and come back. So far I like the Orange team, maybe cause I have a cousin that can relate to the same weight issues. Too early to tell if there are any beyotches yet! lol I'm a…

I also just finished Day 2, Lvl 1....nowhere near as bad as Day 1!! We'll see what tomorrow brings though...lol
-
hey Shay....just actually finished my second day on Level 1....see my thread I posted last week JILLIAN MICHAEL'S JUST KICKED MY *kitten*. Lot's of feedback on there, based on an average weight of 150-160 lbs apparently you burn roughly anywhere between 200-300 calories doing this exercise. You can also check out this…

I love this show, can't wait for 8pm to come tonight!!!!!!!!!

No problem, I thought that website was handy!! I got the smoke free banner from this website... http://www.haqur.com/script/SmokeFree/ Trust me, I let my body recover after that workout, I'm attempting Day 2 tonight (even though it's been a week since the last one! haha) I've been to the gym since, but I could barely walk…

I am a big fan of the ZERO cal drinks, drinking Sprite Zero right now. I can only drink so much water, but I think it's the aspartame that isn't so great for us?! Not really sure why...that's just the word on the street these days.
-
It was an *kitten* kicking, but a good one none the less! If you can feel it you know you've done something, it's just building up that endurance...a complete change from my regular work out which is likely what I needed.
-
I totally hear you on that...I just finished doing my workout this morning and I know the kids are just trying to do the same things as me, but I have them both behind me copying everything I'm doing and it totally messes up your concentration. I try to sneak down to the basement when everyone is preoccupied with their own…

You've got to be burning quite a bit, but I honestly just guessed. Check out this website I found, I find MFP doesn't always have what I've done in the exercise section. http://www.healthstatus.com/cbc.html This gives you a list of exercises and calculates how many cals are burned based on your weight. I found it after our…

Finally got the 30 Day Shred for Christmas, and OMG!!! :noway: My legs were sweating for crying out loud....I don't sweat that much in a class triple the length of that video and that was only on level 1 (day 1). I'm sure it'll seem easier in a week from now, but I can barely walk up the stairs right now...everything feels…

Didn't think I was going to do it, but I weighed in at 154.8 (I know it's close) and my goal was to be under 155 by Christmas.
-
Yes you typed that! Better now than on Christmas I suppose...

Here in Waterloo, Ontario it is -10 degrees celcius (feels like -19 with the wind). I'd say we got about six to eight inches of snow within a 5 hour span so far and it's still going. The snow drifts were up to my knees in some spots, took me almost an hour to shovel my driveway (but burned lots of cals doing it! hehe) Here…

Just cheking in..... Started the challenge at 159, I am now down 4 lbs at 155 lbs. My goal was to be under 155 by xmas, so with just a little over a week to go I am hoping I lose another 1-2 lbs:smile:

Kitchen scale is a good idea...I have one, but never really used it until last night when I wanted some cheese for a snack. I was curious to know how much 30g (1/4 cup) was cause I always just guessed and low and behold it was way more than what I thought it was!!

find out what your resting heartrate is and than find a website that will calculate your target heartrate. Everyone is different based on their age, fitness level, etc. I am 25 and my RHR is 58 bpm, my THR is 146-160 bpm, my max is 190 bpm.

Just thinking about it too much (stress) can cause you to skip a cycle. That happened to me about a year ago..I've never had an irregular cycle in my life other than when I was pregnant or starting the pill. So if you know you aren't pregnant I would just relax and if you still haven't gotten it by the time your next one…

I would have to say quitting smoking was the start for me back in the beginning of Sept. I guess I just got tired of depending on it, it totally ruled my life!! So the first couple of weeks I was trying to keep myself busy and decided to start going for walks, but as soon as I would get home I would raid the kitchen. I…
