I wish I had some great advice for you but, I don't. I am in a similar situation only my wife is a little supportive. I use this site a motivating tool. I get the support I need from my MFP friends since I don't get it from my wife. I am not "dieting" like I have tried in the past. I am going through a lifestyle change.…

I don't bring it up with anyone but my wife. I do enjoy when people comment about my weight loss. It helps keep me motivated to keep up the hard work and get to my goal weight.

Me too. I eat a Fruit and Nut bar almost every morning for breakfast.

Sweet! My dad works for Coors.

For a few reasons: 1. Look and feel healthy 2. Not be the one they say "Hey Big Guy" to when meeting up with old friends. 3. Finally feel comfortable taking my shirt off at the lake or pool.

Welcome back to MFP. Feel free to add me.

My jeans are giving me the "droopy drawers" look. I can't keep them up with a belt. Time for new pants!

I've never added it up before but, I average about 4-5 hours per week. That doesn't seem like enough now that I total it up. That or I need to increase the difficulty of my exercises.

Thanks to everyone who has added me so far. Looks like some of you have had a similar path, like mine. I can't wait to continue this with a support system. That is the one thing I am lacking now.

First impressions do sway opinions but, if they are "qualified" I'll listen to what they have to say.
-
Feel free to add me. I am on the same "diet" as you. I just practice eating in moderation and making better food decisions.
-
Just because you put a question mark behind it, does that make it a question?

I usually have a yoplait light yogurt (90cal.) and protein breakfast bar (150cal.) in the mornings (240cal. total). The yogurt gives you a sweet fix and its good for your digestive tract. The protein bar gives you the energy to get through the morning. But if you like variety, there have been a lot of great suggestions on…

You can have our AD but not our coach. (Kansas State) He is going to bleed our funds dry if he keeps going at the rate he is. We aren't Texas or Oklahoma State for Pete's sake.

Kansas State Wildcats! #EMAW baby!

My wife and I agree on our college team, Kansas State Wildcats. Go Cats! We do not agree on MLB teams though. I am a RedSox fan and she is a Yankees fan. It is a fun rivalry between us. We enjoy it. I would never date an Oklahoma fan though. Too arrogant.

LOL! I just had a vision of Jim Carrey in Dumb & Dumber! I stand. It takes too long to pull my pants down, sit, then pull them back up. I'm a busy man.

I agree with most of the suggestions so far. As a young kid, being active is one of the best things she can do. You are taking the right steps going on walks and bike rides. I would try to find a sport or activity she enjoys that she can do with you or her friends. I don't know if you have to go as far as a nutritionist,…

Perfect! I need to think of my weight loss like this. It makes sense when people keep saying "You look thinner", but I don't see the results on the scale.

I did two things that helped me start losing weight. I don't hardly drink pop at all anymore. If I do get the craving for a pop I get a diet and only drink half the bottle. The second thing is limiting the number of calories I eat in a day. I use MFP to track everything I eat and I make sure I never go over my daily limit.…
