I tend to eat the same thing almost everyday for breakfast. I have a Nature Valley Fruit & Nut bar and a Yoplait light yogurt. I mostly do that because they are quick and convenient for me to take no matter if I am going to work or play.

1. Health 2. Confidence (Mine was low even before I gained weight) I already feel better about myself with the weight I have lost. I used to not want to go anywhere I would recognize someone from high school or college for fear of what they would think. "What happen to him?"

My wife and I respect each others privacy and trust each other enough to have friends of the opposite sex on our social network sites. With that said, I do have more female friends on MFP. I think this is mostly due to the fact that women are more social and motivated to lose weight and in my experience they are more…

Well, I have to agree with the above. I wouldn't have said it so "eloquently" though, but you hit the nail on the head there. My wife had a roommate with a boyfriend like yours and they "were" engaged. We couldn't stand watching him run her down. She finally wised up and dumped his *kitten*! I don't think any relationship…

Yogurt and apples. Yum!

As a heavy set guy, I would agree with this statement. I started dating my wife in high school at 185lbs. We have been together 12 years (married for 4 years) and about 6 months ago I weighed 284lbs. In that time I noticed we had grown apart in some ways. She did not feel the attraction she did when I was "ripped". I have…

I was prom king my senior year of high school. That was when I was thin and good looking. ;)

I haven't really given up any foods yet but, I could not give up pizza. I just eat in moderation and walk/run to keep in shape. I have noticed that since I have started eating better foods that some of the so called "bad foods" don't taste as good as they once did. As long as I am losing weight and feeling good, I will…

I keep getting the same comment, "I can really see it in your face." Was I so fat that my "face" was the fattest part of me? My legs and gut are where I keep losing all the inches. I do appreciate people noticing though. I just wish they would notice more of me.

Only 55 lbs.? Hmmm.... I would guess beagle/ boxer mix.

My wife and I dated for 8 years before we got married. We were high school sweethearts and we made it through college. I think it took me longer to realize she was "the one". I think she knew after 2 years of college. I think I knew shortly after that because she was more than just my girlfriend at that point, she was my…

My average is 2.7 lbs. per week but, it has slowed lately to about 1.5-2 lbs. per week. I think the shock of "exercise" no longer surprises my body.

My advice will echo what most people have said to far. I wanted to lose weight for years but, my wife, who is only a few pounds overweight, did not. I kept using her as my excuse for not losing weight because she didn't want to do it with me. I finally got over it and started making small changes in my life. Eat fruit or…

I weigh myself every morning. It helps me watch trends with food and water consumption, as well as the amount of exercise I did that day.

My refund gets smaller each year. I hope it's enough for another mortgage payment or a fence in the back yard for the dog. :frown:

Ditto! Can't the wife throw me a bone every once in a while? (Pun intended!)

Welcome back! Feel free to add me.

I'll pretend like I didn't see your age but, great job! I didn't have the drive or will power to do that when I was your age.
