Here is my advice: walk. Start with 5000 steps a day (less if that is too much) and add a bit every day until you are walking about 10,000 steps a day. Then begin to look for new ways to advance fitness. Through a variety of circumstances, I had a set back (gaining back 40 of my 90 lbs lost) and had to work my way back…

Yay, such good work. It takes time to do it right.

it's a hard thing.. I've gained back 20 of the 90 lbs lost and I can't seem to stop myself some nights. It's all "good for you" food.. but seriously, not in those quantities.. Last night I entered 1000 calories.. it was likely 4 or 5000 but it is more a "note to self" Lots of reasons and excuses here..but it is almost…

I have Alvarado Street Flax Bread, one slice toasted with peanut butter and coconut flakes sprinkled on it.. It last a long time. One slice of Essential Flax bread has 9 g carbs.. but 8 grams of fiber. It can be a little too crunchy so don't toast it too long.

Someone posted a site that shows your weight on a graph that shows a general trend. I k now when I was losing I'd get caught up in a few days of ups and downs, and not realize that the set point had dropped a bit. I guess it's sort of like stocks and bonds

Trader Joes has some healthy foods, but you have to read the labels. :) I actually found a good black bean dip at Safeway, too. :)

my latest has been one slice of Alvarado Street Flax Bread with a tablespoon of peanut butter (or 2) and a sprinkle of cinnamon

I am eating Alvarado Bakery Flax Bread from Trader Joes or Safeway.. 9 carbs 3 fibers (net carb 6) and 1 g of fat..I like it toasted lightly with Old Fashion Organic Peanut Butter and a little sprinkle of cinnamon

I take a multivitamin, CLA, probiotics, c with zinc and echinacea vit e .. and yea, that's it. I used to take B complex, but now I am eating more carbs so I don't think I need it.

cauliflower.. it's rice.. it's potatoes and it's delicious .. Lots of leafy greens LOVE Kale and chard. Chard has those crispy stalks, so if you cut them into little cubes, it is almost like having little potatoes in your greens. Celery and pickles are fun crunchy foods, when you just gotta crunch. I am not too low carb…

make simple goals day by day to support your big hairy goal of losing it forever... keep at it, and expect it to take about a year. Really 3 to 6 months just to get started.. It's the long haul, so go day by day, meal by meal and make it work. I started (215 lbs) walking to the corner and taking my lunch to work. 88 lbs…

I like rice with meals.. from Louisiana originally, so rice and gravy was a mainstay. I am allowed some grains now and had brown rice last night but I normally substitute cauliflower for rice and potatoes, and Zoodles (spiral cut zuchinni) for noodles and do well with that. Chocolate, I just have it.. 86% one square..…

this was so nice to read.. I am Kathy and I have lost 50 lbs LCHF and 89 lbs all together.. I am trying to maintain by staying under 100 g of carbs. My biggest struggles are days like today.. i have a chest cold and want to eat.. Friday nights and Saturdays.. I seem to over indulge more on those days. I find this group of…

I add cocoa and flax seeds to yogurt with a little sprinkle of stevia .. Sometimes I add peanut butter or coconut If I am looking at a pretty lean day, or a late breakfast that counts as a snack, I put in coconut, peanut butter, cocoa, stevia and add berries .. I like yogurt, it feels like a pudding. If you use PB2…
