An interesting question. I'm 5'3' and I think I look best at around 120 pounds. 115 starts to get borderline too skinny for me. At 110 I look positively ill. I know plenty of women who are my height and 100-110 pounds who look perfectly healthy. It's just not my body type.

I'm 5'3 and currently around 130 pounds. I find that when I weigh around 125, it's much easier for me to maintain a sub 8 minute mile pace in most shorter races (5k, 10k, etc). I ran my 10K PR when I was probably around 115-120, but that was five years ago and I didn't pay much attention to my running back then. I'm…

I'm hoping to run a sub 4 marathon (I know I have one in me. The last marathon I ran in fall 2012 was a 4:01. UGH). I also want to race at least once a month. It would be nice to PR in the 10K and half, but I'm really focused on the sub 4 this year.

I've been running in New England in the cold-weather for several years, and so I think I have the gear down. I usually wear a headband over my ears, but if it's really cold, I will wear a hat. I know some people have fancy little runner hats, but I pretty much just grab whatever old thing I can find in the closet. I have a…

Hi all, I'd love to lose five pounds by Christmas. I guess this means I need to replace the battery in my scale so I know what I'm working with...I suspect I'm at about 130-135, and I'd like to be closer to 115-120. My biggest problem is I need to find my motivation to get running again. Up until about a year ago, I was an…
