  • I can't imagine that 1600 would be enough to add fat. As far as I understand you can eat at maintenance and just swap fat for muscle. So, still eating at a deficit (which I am assuming you are by the numbers) will help to increase your fat loss. I am a big believer in eating what my body needs. Listen to the moo-cles. If…
  • Awesome Progress! I am going to try the barbell for step-ups tomorrow.

  • I use it all the time. Love it.
  • Added you.
  • ^^ Word.
  • Are you grabbing with your toes for balance? Try to push through your heel when you are working that leg. The cramps happen for me when I am "resting" the leg. Lots of water, potassium, coconut water is the awesome.
  • You should alternate A & B on your lifting days. I lift 3 times a week. This week is: Sun-A Mon-Rest Tues-B Wed-Rest Thurs-A Fri-Rest Sat-Cardio Next week Sun-B Mon-Rest Tues-A Wed-Rest Thurs-B Fri-Rest Sat-Cardio Hope that helps ;)
  • As far as I understand if you don't loosen up after your warm up sets you should skip it and give your body an extra day of rest.

  • You are so awesome to have made it this far. You can do it. Where there is a will there is a way. Water bottles to backbacks, sandbags, there are lots of weight hacks that can get you where you need to go.

  • OR You could add in another set of A&B workouts and then take a week off. Is it just the AMRAP you need to do?

  • Good on you for the hard work AND the VBAC ;)
  • I used a shorter Oly bar at my gym that last time I did deadlifts. I didn't want to take one of the bench presses and that one was by itself. It is 5 feet I think. I had to google it to the get the weight of it (30#).

  • Excited for pictures! I had my hubby take some yesterday to be compared at the end of stage 1 along with measurements. I don't currently see a difference and my clothes don't fit any different yet but hubby has been feeling on my back and commenting on my muscles ;). My right IT band is a ***** and makes my knee hurt. I…

  • I was going to say that! If you are adding the kid in every time to weigh in then keep on keeping on. Hope they don't gain faster then you lose ;)
  • I know I am new and less then half way through Stage 1 but I am going no where. I score VERY high in follow through. Plus I am LOVING the picking up things and putting them back down. I just bought new "lifting" shoes today. Yipee!
  • Oh my goodness that is hilarious! My kids try to do what I am doing when I bodyrock and they just end up getting in the way. I love it.
  • Currently at 12 reps I squat 110# and deadlift 50#. I have not been sore so I am planning to increase both of those amounts next wotkouts.
  • stage - 1 - I am on workout 3B caloric intake - honestly? No idea. I stopped logging awhile back as I hit my goal weight and have to learn how to eat at maintenance on my own. I eat clean maybe 85% of the time. However I do feel like I should get back on the logging kick to hit my protein macros and to not be counteracting…
  • That is SO full of win! Good job! I hope that day happens to me. I get a few smiles from the meatheads but no compliments yet.
  • Workout 3A complete. I decided to try out the squat rack instead of the smith machine for my squats today. It went just fine. I added the same amount of weight that I do on the smith. Not sure what the bar weight difference is... Anybody know? My right knee is pissed right now so I skipped my 10+ mins of HIIT that I…

  • *Raises hand* I just jumped right in on the threads. Add me too please. I have S1WO3A tomorrow :)
  • I would see my chiropractor and a massage therapist and also just keep keeping on and baby it if I needed too.
  • *blink blink* Great googly moogly you are smokin'! I will say it again. I want to be half as hot as you. That is all.
  • In the middle. I worked with a trainer for a about 2 years and we lifted a lot. And then I joined a different gym (6+ months ago) and started doing pilates to rehab my back injury, I did spin, MMA conditioning, Zumba, FIT classes, whatever really and also BodyRock & ZWOWs which are bodyweight mostly. I am looking to cut…
  • I did the deadlifts! 45# and my back feels fine today. I got this :). Thanks for the tips ladies. I haven't been doing the push ups correctly either - I will have to go up in angle most likely. My trainer (who is also my pilates instructor) gave me some more difficult ab exercises to swap in as my abs are strong (not…

  • Get it girl! Great job!
  • I would say the lunges and step-ups have been been my hardest so far (3 workouts in to Stage 1) for the same reason. My arms can't hold all that weight. I did step-ups with 20#DBs this morning and my arms KILL.

  • Good points. I thought I was supposed to do the straight leg deadlift. Those are ouchy. I am going to try the deadlifts (bent legs) next workout and see how it goes. Thank you!
