Way more fat and protein is needed here. I would be starving on your ratios. I shoot for 40% protein, 35% fat (good fat) & 25% carbs. Try that for a week or two and see if it helps. Also, more real food and less easy food. Pre-prep saves my butt. Grilled chicken breasts, quinoa. Happy whole foods.

I would say your body is probably just regulating from the 7 month old sleeping through. I always had an adjustment period when my kids started sleeping through. My body was all confused. Melatonin is my sleep drug of choice. Maybe try that, it should be fine for breastfeeding if you are.

I don't wipe down exercise equipment at the gym after I use it unless I leave sweat trails and only wipe something down before I use if it is still wet from the last user. I am just not that much of a germaphobe. I wash my hands immediately after I am done and call it good.

Manic - I have been realizing that as much as I like lifting the cardio makes me feel good. I need the endorphins that come with a great Zumba class, Bodyrocking, ZWOWing, Spin, HIIT, etc. I need to figure out how to get both in my week. I am doing little. If I have time after I lift I will do 15 mins of treadmill intervals. I throw in a Zumba class here and there when I can but right now I am focused on lifting & Pilates.

I use the safety bars on the power cage at my gym, but haven't needed them. I needed the bars once while lifting (probably like an idiot) in high school, I had to duck under and drop the bar. That sticks in my mind so I use them but will most likely never need them as I am MUCH smarter now :)

Well I want to look good and feel good. But by doing that I am a better mother, wife, employee, etc. So while my main goals aren't for my kids they also receive the happy side effects and are learning what it takes to be healthy.

Our wedding was at a historic site on the top of a mountain and we had to bring in our own liquor so we did wine & and couple of kegs of good beer, the caterer provided the bartender and we were able to take back what was unopened. It worked great.

The exercise you like and will do is the only *best* exercise. I freaking hate running and if I had to run to be fit I would just decide to be fat thankyouverymuch ;).

I put my protein powder in a shaker cup and then add a chocolate milk (Costco Organic in the tetrapac) after my workout and drink while I get ready to shower at the gym. No blender required. I like the Pure Protein bars. I also read that the Quest bars are good.

You have noticeable (by looking at your body) swelling? Or is it weight/inches gain? I would say you have to let your body repair itself in the way it's intended. So just know that the swelling is a good sign that changes are being made.
