If it's protein powder I wouldn't risk it. If you're talking a few multi vitamin gummies or Tylenol, no ones going to care. If you have a baggie of white powder there might be a problem, lol. You can always call the airlines and double check though.

Love soups, so easy to grab and go for lunches! I've been meaning to make a baked "potato" cauliflower soup too.

It's constantly copied and pasted in threads like these. OP it may take you longer than 2 weeks to see any difference. Are you logging everything including condiments? Lots of hidden sugars there sometimes. Other than that just keep it up, the last 10 are supposedly the toughest.

I'm a no breakfast person, I have a big coffee with heavy cream in it every day and that's what I have until lunch. There's no real reason for it other than I love having a big dinner later feeling like I get to pig out. At the end of the day you're getting the same amount of calories whether it's in the AM or PM.

Water exercises are easy on joints, would you be able to replace some workouts with swim time? If you really like what you're doing and prefer not to change it up you could see a massage therapist in the meantime, take a hot bath at the end of the day or anything that will help to relax the muscles around that area.…

Mine is inaccurate the first time I step on it. I move it around every day so every morning I have to step on it twice to get my actual weight. The first time I let it weigh and clear itself before stepping back on it. Unfortunately I just don't have a spot that isn't carpeted where I could keep it without moving it.

When I first started I focused on learning how to cook better meals and how to log properly. Do you have a food scale? Do you have a diet plan in mind? If you get stuck just come here for help. Good luck!

I'm not sure why you said on the contrary - I agree with all of your points. By moderation I meant don't go crazy and eat unlimited fats, but of course meet your calorie goals for the day with them.

I love pizza too. I made a pizza last night with a cauliflower crust that was a healthy alternative to the thick crust pizza I love. Pick and choose your battles :)

Not all fats are equal. Avocados have healthy fats, and most of the carbs in it are fiber. A medium avocado is 13g of carbs, 10 of which are fiber, meaning the entire thing is 3 net carbs. If you're chowing down 5 or 6 avocados a day, then maybe it would be an issue. Fat is not bad in moderation. Carbs are not horrible in…

Haha yes I've noticed I've become a lightweight as well stephanie :)

I have small amounts of red wine on occasion and it's fine, I don't like having a lot just because I know my body will have to burn off the alcohol before it goes back to fat.

You know what's really good? Ground hamburger with pork meat mixed in. It adds fat and a ton of flavor!! I always buy 80/20 from the butcher and mix it in with either ground pork or low carb italian sausage meat.

I am pre-diabetic, they absolutely can do this diet and should be on it. Of course, check with their Dr first. This diet is all about restricting sugar and carbs, and diabetics can't have sugar anyway!

One serving is 4 squares. I only make it past 1 or 2 before I stop from the bitterness. Milk chocolate however.. I could polish off 1 or 2 bars easy. Remember to subtract fiber. Yes it's 12g but I believe 4 or 5 are fiber right?

As others said check out the LCHF group here, or there's one on reddit under /r/keto (google keto flu reddit and you'll find it). Most people that experience the flu get through it using chicken broth for added sodium, and I think magnesium supplements for cramps or something. It's a bit of a rough patch for sure.

That "if every day was like today" bit motivates me SO MUCH!! I love it.

Figure out what part in the texture you don't like and we might be able to give suggestions. Is it slimey-ness? Gritty-ness? Bananas, oranges and apples - If you throw these into a smoothie that might help, you'd need a powerful blender to blast most of the texture issues away. You can also make banana ice cream with…

Instead of a PB sandwich what about a big salad? Cobb salad, chicken ceasar, lots of options. I would be hungry only eating 1/2 a sandwich. I agree with others in that it will take longer to see results, especially if you only have 20lbs to lose.

I recommend not using muffin tins, you'll be scraping off eggs out of it for forever. Been there done that. Use silicone muffin cups, I bought some off Amazon for about $6. As far as a recipe I just use whatever I have in my fridge. Last time I used 5 eggs, 4 or 5 strips of bacon, 2 or 3 sausages and 1/2 a red and green…

I have a bunch of low carb favorites! * Sugar free jello * Cheese strings * Beef jerky (be careful about the sugar content on some) * Moon cheese * Almonds, any flavor * 90% dark chocolate * Hard boiled eggs * Keto breakfast muffins (basically small crustless quiches) * Celery with dip (guacamole, ranch, almond butter) *…

Add me fellow Canadian ;) I have more than 60 to lose, a long way to go! My goal weight is 150.

I have the same issue, thanks for the info

Yes I do, and no, not all veggies should be free, usually they are only referring to leafy green vegs. Unlimited sweet corn, potatoes or squash would be dangerous calorie (and carb) wise.

I fully understand what you mean and agree with you. Real strawberries will always taste better than artificial, BUT I will say the strawberries that have the white in the middle (usually huge and pumped up with GMOs) always taste more bitter to me than organic ones sold in farmers markets too. I'm not about to get into a…

Congrats, that's exciting! I can't wait to get where you are :)

My NSV this week is I've gone out walking 3 times during my lunch hour rather than watch Hulu or Netflix. Monday and Tues were both sunny so it was a nice walk, and Tuesday I had a treat and had some pancakes for pancake Tuesday. I might go for a walk again today even though I forgot my step tracker at home. I love going…

To each their own Gia :) Kale chips with a little salt and garlic are delicious! Roasted veggies are great too.

When I drank smoothies I liked adding 1 banana, juice and random other fruit plus as much spinach I could stuff into the blender. It looks awful (usually looks brown) but tastes good. Banana hides the taste of almost ANYTHING! You can also hide green veggies in spaghetti meat sauce, chili's, omelettes etc. Anything with…
