Just so you know, there are about 10 calories in each 1 second spray of Pam. It might not be a lot, but if you are using it every day and using a lot it can add up.

yes, i would raise them. raise to at least 1400. my dr told me never to go below 1400. in the long run you will be doing more bad than good.

i just track everything. i don't consider it "cheating" because i should be allowed to eat what i want in moderation. i just track it as soon as it has happened so i am always aware of how many calories i have left for the day. most days i am within my calorie goal even with a few treats here and there. :) the key is to…

i'm 5'1" and i eat roughly 1500 calories a day. if i work out i eat more in addition to the 1500. i used this site: http://www.exrx.net/Calculators/CalRequire.html to estimate how many calories a day i burned through normal activity. i then lowered that number a little because my metabolism runs a little slower due to…

I think it's important to recognize that it can be nearly impossible to lose weight with a thyroid condition UNTIL you are properly medicated. If you are not medicated, or are not on the right dosage, it will be impossible to lose. Also, since getting on the right dosage can take some time, it can be frustrating and cause…

they say healthy weight loss is no more than 2lbs a week, but most people lose a lot less than that a week. of course, that varies with people depending on how much their starting weight is.

you definitely need to up your calorie intake. you should never got below 1400. your body will go into starvation mode and start slowing your metabolism.

i don't think you are eating enough. my endocrinologist (who i see for thyroid issues) told me to NEVER eat under 1400 calories. your body is starving and is thus going to slow down your metabolism. i would eat more to get your metabolism going again.

the way i understood it, each time you take synthroid it builds. synthroid you take today will be in your system for the next 4-6 weeks. i believe the half-life of the medicine is about 10 days, so roughly in two weeks you will be able to tell if you are overmedicated. my doctor keeps me on a dose for 2-3 months and then…

you are starving yourself. never eat below 1200. my dr told me to never eat below 1400, but even that is low.

i kept getting sick and gained weight and the dr decided to take out my tonsils. i got blood work so i could get approved for surgery and found out i have hashimoto's and am hypothyroid. i also have a goiter with several small nodules. i am currently on 125mcg of synthroid and take it daily. have been on medication for…

I add onions to EVERYTHING. Onions make everything better. I also cook green beans in chicken broth. It really kicks them up a notch.
