i was very gullible as a child (still am). there was a hotel near my house with a sign showing a sunset with a bird on it. my dad told me it was the bat motel and that kept bats in all the rooms. terrified me, so i always thought witches lived there and was afraid to go near it on halloween. i also thought planes could…

i am going to chime in and say the same thing as all those saying go see an endocrinologist. i have hashimoto's disease and am hypothryoid (sometimes hyper). i have found it very difficult to lose weight, but i am finally on a good dose of medicine and have lost 12 lbs since starting MFP 2 weeks ago. the weight loss is…

yes, i knew my butt was big but i always thought it was "nice" big and the pictures proved that wasn't so!

tbh, i hate diet soda and i'd rather drink water. regular soda on the other hand...

your young, so the question is perfectly understandable. i have been there. but just letting you know, don't worry about texting him first or whatever. as you get older you will realize that the guys who care when you text or if you text or call first aren't the ones worth keeping around!

thank you so much for sharing this story. i had tears in my eyes the whole time i read. you are TRULY an INSPIRATION!!!
-
you are so inspiring! i loved seeing the breakdown of how much you lost each month and so pleased to see you beat that plateau! GREAT JOB! thanks for sharing!!

i usually do just regular water. but lemon and lime slices can help. or crystal light. they have different flavors, pink lemonade, rasberry, i think they even have a tea flavor. they add a few calories but make the water less boring. good luck.

I think it looks like you eat pretty well. Besides that, I am a believer in eating what you want in moderation. So I don't think you should have to stick to a totally "clean" diet if you don't want to. A lot of times when starting out strength training you gain a little. Also, I would recommend checking your sodium. I…

i never have a cheat day. i don't really feel the need to, because i eat something good every day.

We also have a Treeing Walker Hound that gets soo excited to go on walks that she tries to walk our 80-lb German Shepherd. When we put leashes on them, the little hound will go and grab the german shepherd's leash with her teeth and try to yank her out the door.
-
Aww, i love that! Our German Shepherd does the hugs thing too. And if you says "kisses" she will lick you. And if you are giving her a treat and ask her if she wants it, she lets out this gruff, low bark. And if you say, "I didn't hear you," she lets out a really deep bark.
-
LOL that wake up thing made me laugh soo hard! My dog used to lick but we didn't like our faces being licked to wake up, so now he will put his throat over your throat and keep swallowing until it wakes you up.
-
I just have to comment because my dog is soo special. Really special. He pretty much owns the neighborhood. We live on a private road that is a dead end. We are at the end of the street. We let him out in the front yard (he refuses to go in the back, fenced yard, where the lesser dogs go). One day we couldn't find him,…

This memory is from when I was a little over 1 year old. I remember being strapped down to a table and not being able to move, being in a lot of pain, seeing this light hanging above my head, and some man hovering near the light. I remember trying to find my mom and the room, but I couldn't move my head, so I could only…

you say that is what works for you. have you tried anything else? another way of doing things? probably not. and yes, it is working for you, if by working you mean losing weight and getting smaller. on the inside, it is not "working" in the sense that you are not being healthy and not giving your body what it needs. i've…

you have a gait whether you are a new runner or not. everyone who walks has a gait. it's just a fancy word for your way of walking. your gait is heavily influenced by your foot/arch. for example, i have an EXTREMELY high arch. this causes me to put more pressure on the outsides of my feet and my ankles tend to bend out.…

thanks! i think i may have to push pause on c25k. i really want to do it, i love getting outside everyday and do feel accomplished, i just think it might be too much, especially with that cardio video i did yesterday, burn intervals! thanks for all your comments, though, they really helped! i just finished burn day 3 week…
-
Thank you so much for your help! Today I was actually not as sore as the first day, so I was able to do the Burn Intervals and Ab Burner. Didn't get my run in, I think I'll probably add the running next week. I added as friend, hope you don't mind more questions! Thanks!!

i eat 1490 a day, not including exercise calories. just completed my first month and i have lost 7lbs. i don't know that it will continue like that, but i'm fine if it does!
-
i'm not an expert, but i can tell you what i do since my stats are similar to yours. my calorie goal is 1490 a day. i jog 3x a week and always eat back those calories. i also do CLX 3x a week. i log it under cardio as "strength training" and usually put about 15 minutes less time than what i actually do so i am not…

i got that from your first post. i said "same here" referring to avoiding it like the plague.

same here. i don't eat a lot of soy usually, but my doctor told me to really watch my soy intake as well as my seafood intake, due to my thyroid issues.
