Cute Things Your Animals Do

My beagle used to do this thing where he would stand up on his back legs and stick his front legs up in the air... so I (with much patience and many hotdogs) taught him to do it on command.. now I say "Banjo.... stick 'em up", while I hold my hand out like a gun, and he does it... makes me smile every time!0

My Pandi likes to put perfume on. One day I was looking through a magazine and I had opened a perfume sample and thrown it on the floor - before I knew it, Pandi was rubbing her neck on it. Now, every time I find one, I let her put some on.0

Tigger will sit on my laptop, book, anything basically that I am paying attention to that isn't him. When we open the cupboard door where his treats are, he's there. Doesn't come when the other cupboards are open though. Chases my shoes. Even when they are not on my feet. 'Barks' at the postman. He plays fetch. Oh, did I mention he's a kitty?0

My pup is 1.5 years old... he's an English Sprnger Spaniel. My office is in the basement... his toy box is upstairs in the kitchen. He will spend all day bringing each of his toys down to his downsatirs bed. He'll play for a bit with each one, some balls, some rope toys, some stuffed animals, kongs, etc,,, he will eventually bring all of them down and into his bed and lie on them. By the end of the day his bed is full of dog toys and while I carry the majority of them back upstairs when we're finished working each day he will carry one to the box to put it away.
At dinner time he jumps and spins and gest so excited for food... hilarious.
When I haven't given him any attention for a while -say 2 minutes he'll come over to me and very quietly make these little half bark sounds.. just until I say "Hi Buddy" and give him a pat.
And his newest cutest thing is he brings his leash to me if I put on shoes or a hoody. He's been dragging his leash around most of the day today because it's raining like crazy and I'm freezing... so he thinks we're heading out everytime I move from my desk.0 -
My cat is cute pretty much all the time. In fact, I think she is part dog.
She always greets me at the door when I come home. As soon as the door is shut, if she is not there, I can hear her coming downstairs because she has a bell on her collar. She always meows at me, which I assume means that she is saying hi.
We have conversations. If she is meowing, I meow back at her, and then she meows again... you see where I am going. We did like 15 or 20 back and forth last night.
She comes into my room to look out the window for squirrels, but doesn't jump up on the ledge. She just stands there with her front feet on the ledge and looks out. So cute.
She likes to hide between the shower curtains.
ETA: Oh yeah, she also likes to sit in laundry baskets...0 -
Speck , our blue pit , is not allowed on the furniture. So she resorts to sneaking on the couch at bed time. Most mornings she is standing by the couch looking sleepy when I get up and the couch cover is sunk in and warm where she " wasn't " laying.... But the few times I out right caught her was hilarious. I swear she looked embarrassed. And then there is Petie. Our love bird. 10 year old and never had himself a woman. But he will pick a toy and make it his sweety. He goes to town! And he goes on and on with it. The whole cage is jingeling and ratteling. I'm thinking seriously about getting him a girl.0

We also have a Treeing Walker Hound that gets soo excited to go on walks that she tries to walk our 80-lb German Shepherd. When we put leashes on them, the little hound will go and grab the german shepherd's leash with her teeth and try to yank her out the door.0

I have a little Chihuahua-Pekingese-Shih Tzu- Mix breed, her name is Compay and whenever we go outside she runs around like a maniac and then back to me and at the last possible second before she reaches me she spins herself around and slides into my feet BUTT FIRST so that she is facing away from me! Then she just sits there as thou she hadn't just made a mad dash around the yard and has always been sitting perfectly in front of me ready for her picture to be taken! I think she's imagining I'm "Home Plate!" LOL0

Back when we adopted our first cat, he would chase my husband around like a dog. He even does sneak attacks and stalks us down to this day.
