I've actually added iodine to my regimen and have noticed a marked difference in my attitude, energy and weight loss ability. Taking too much iodine can be bad for you but I currently take 12mg and I don't eat salt and the daily limit for iodine is 150mg and so far I am monitoring myself for any side effects and haven't…

Oh sweet crap in heaven above...are we really talking about this?

Just sent you a friend request! :)

I tried tracking my sugar on MFP and decided that since they can't separate natural sugars from artificial, I stopped tracking that since I don't eat artificial/processed sugars. I only eat fresh or frozen fruit (not canned or dried) and I am not diabetic so I don't worry about it. I changed that tracker to follow my…

Skinny girl vodka with Diet Coke or Diet Dr Pepper or Diet Sprite is always my go to drink now... :)

This stuff is essentially the same thing that they used with LA Weight Loss...yes, you could lose UP TO 10lbs...but you would probably have to weigh over 350 to see those kinds of results and that kind of weight loss is really not the best unless you are trying to hit a couple of pounds to bust through a plateau and are…

I bought them through a Groupon not too long ago and I have actually used them years before. Back then I didn't know about the weight loss theory, but I actually wore them while working out and at night while I slept and yes they make you sweat so I figured it couldn't hurt. The reason I bought them again though is I used…

I do a stir fry with mine, heat up 2 tablespoons healthy oil in a pan, sautee a spoonful each of minced garlic & ginger, add onions and go until onions are cooked, I throw in some crunchy peanut butter (1/2 cup- 1 cup) add any veggies desired (brocolli, snap peas, water chestnuts, etc) and 1/2 cup water, stir, cover and…

I try and get stuff set up on the weekends when I have more time...I will brown a package of ground turkey to be used in place of ground beef, pre slice veggies for easy snacking (and bag them up for easy lunch grabs), and figure out the weeks menus to see what I need to get at the store. My husband had no idea we had been…

Without knowing your current abilities at the strength level, I would start small with the 30D Shred and the 2lb weights are a great start. If you figure after a few days that you need more weight, then get another 5lb weight and move up. Be very careful that you don't move yourself up too fast with weights that are too…

I saw an awesome recommendation from some food show saying if you don't like water, do things like get a pitcher and put watermelon in it to flavor the water...you could also use lemons, lime, or I would think most citrus and berries. You could try to get more water in that way... Regular tea can be very hard on your…

OK I'm going to be nice and share my secret weapon...I go to www.shopgoodwill.com and get some fantastic deals. :) I have gotten name brands (Coach, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, etc) for some AMAZING prices. It's an auction site and you need to have some patience to sort through and bid on stuff, but the rewards are so…

I've been doing the 30 Min Shred and it is a GREAT workout! I am actually getting up at 5am to do this on a daily basis through the week and always feel so much better when I'm done. I can highly recommend it. Haven't seen a change on the scale, but the pants are certainly getting loose!

Add me if you would like! I am a working mom of 2 and my oldest is about to go off to college in the fall (yikes!!!) while my youngest is about to enter Kindergarten in the fall (sob!) and I still have way too much baby weight attached to these hips!! I work full time and have realized it is so very hard to try and find…

I am apparently too uncoordinated to do the Zumba, but I really got my behind kicked with the Golds Gym Cardio Workout...it was fun, but hard and I really worked up a sweat! :)

I have an exercise bike in my room, it wasn't that expensive and it isn't the top of the line, but it works. My thing is I love to read, so I don't allow myself to read unless I have ridden the bike or I am riding the bike. I also watch the news while riding. That way it doesn't feel quite so much like work. Or you can…

I have a recumbent bike at home and when I get home from work I get a glass of water, turn on the news and ride for at least 1/2 an hour or 10 miles depending on my mood and intensity. If I really need a snack I have a bag of frozen fruit (Dole has good bags with no syrup added - look in the frozen 'toppings" section of…

I'm doing it now! I did workout 1 for about 2 weeks (still can't do a full set of freaking real push ups to save my life) and switched to workout 2 this week. I don't do it on the weekends (rest days) and I actually get up at 5 am every weekday to do it so I know I got at least a little exercise in that day. My plan is to…

Yahoo had some really great exercises listed today: http://shine.yahoo.com/healthy-living/top-moves-tone-trouble-zones-142200283.html Hopefully you can paste that link into your browser if it doesn't copy right. I'm going to try the first move tomorrow morning and see how I do.

LOL!! Feel free to add me too. My oldest baby is going to college and my littlest is starting kindergarten this fall. I was a size 5 when I had the oldest and I'm now a 12 so my goal is to eventually get into an 8 COMFORTABLY...so we are talking about another 45 lbs for me to be good with it. Since joining MFP and sticking…

I did WW for a year and religiously counted my points but never thought about the fruits & veg because they were 0 points. Since then I have quit WW and now only do MFP and log everything. I have found that even though the fruits & veg are not as many calories as everything else, they still count. As a result I have lost…

I go with a light exercise and an early bed or if it's really bad I will skip the exercise, avoid all dairy products in all forms, and go to bed early. Better to be healthy and have to work my way back up than extend my sick.

I know we aren't "supposed to" but I weigh in every morning to make sure I'm on track. I only have my official weigh in once a week, but I use the other days to keep me in line. :)

You did the right thing and behaved in a way that was a great example to your children. Your mother's husband is a PIG and you do deserve an apology from both him and your mother because she should have put a stop to his behavior as well. Its a very hard thing to stand up to your family (I'm learning this one myself), but…

One of my close friends actually gave me some huge smarties...after I have explained to her that I am changing the way I eat and to please not get me any more junk food. Her explanation: "Well I wanted you to have something on hand for if you get stressed out and need it!" Way to be supportive... :noway:

Oh yeah, the holiday sweets...the fudge...the cookies...the breads...the cakes...and I try to stay strong. Note the word try. I have made a deal with myself. If I want to "sample" I have to exercise first, then check the calorie count on it and see if it's "worthy" and I go from there. Last night I rode my bike for 45…
