  • I too have Fibromyalgia. I am currently working on the Paleo diet and it does help. I avoid sugar, sugar substitutes, wheats and processed foods as much as possible and try to stick with proteins and veggies. I always know when Ive indulged too much. What has made me feel better along with the diet is strength training…
  • Do a search for upper body cardio workouts. You can do shadow boxing sitting and it will give you a decent workout. Stationery bike may be good rehab for your knees but I suppose you would have gone through that with your recovery therapy. A table top bike is good to use for your arms.
  • I LOVE my tattoos, I have 5 and the first one I got 25 yrs ago looks pretty darn decent still. I have 2 that are cover ups because I was hasty with them but they are beautiful now. My future holds more. A walking canvas is beautiful thing!
  • Ive tried drinking pomegranate juice and it has helped some in controlling the bloating. It may not work for some but Ive always had issues and noticed a signifigant difference. There is also a ginger lemon tea you can make with some cut up lemon and ginger root. 1 medium lemon and 1 1-2' ginger root, cover with boiling…

  • As far as I know there are no diet restrictions with Lamictal. In the past I had successfully lost 40lbs while on it. Keep exercising and stay on your calories as with all meds it can mess with you at some point. You may find that you have to work a little harder to get your results. Good Luck!

  • I know a lot of people who have it and love it! Actually for what it does $100 is cheap compared to other products like body bugg and the similar. You can wear it around the clock other than when it needs a charge (which you can do while at the pc), even upload data without taking it off. Its something I am planning on…
  • I sometimes weigh everyday, sometimes every few days and always on Friday. As long as it doesnt get to you to see different fluctuations then do what keeps you happy. I do it to keep track of the fluctuations I guess. I dont let it bother me if it is up, in a way its a way of knowing when to drink some extra water. So…
  • Just threw some in the crock with some diced tomatoes and seasonings (garlic, basil, bay leaf, onion powder). I also added some yellow squash and boneless chicken breast. Im considering tossing in some celery and carrots and maybe some barley or brown rice, undecided yet.
  • Did you know there is a Margarita flavored Great Value (Walmart) and Target Brand Crystal Lite equivalent? Saves on adding the extras, just add Tequila.
  • I was 300lbs a year ago, didnt start really trying until Dec 2010 and joined here a couple months ago but didnt do much with the tracking until just recently. Im now 267 and Im shooting for 150. Ive got a lot of things going on physically that hold me back at times but I always try to push through and not give up. So when…
  • Welcome to MFP! I understand you how you feel and know you can do it! it just takes a little longer. I know how it feels to push through the pain and fatigue, somedays are harder than others. Just keep going and keep trying. Keep strong and stay positive.
  • I like to use it. My daughter bought me the Wii Fit Plus and it really helped me get started with losing weight. The aerobic step and boxing brings on the sweat. The dancing games when you put the effort into it will burn the calories and there are many other fitness games out there, helps add variety to your workout so…
  • The condition itself will not affect weight loss unless you spend your time not exercising and eating wrong. Now the medications given can hinder it because some will cause weight gain and you have to fight against it. That is when you have to work on finding the right one. Even some meds for general depression can cause…
  • Eating a protein with every meal helps keep you feel fuller longer (JohnnyStorm gave some great advice). If you are not drinking enough water sometime thirst can be mistaken for hunger so try drinking a glass of water before reaching for a snack. Keep close track of your food diary, if you bite it write it! What you eat…
  • A friend of mine is a distributor and she is using the product as well. She has lost 10lbs in a month. I am going to try also but I still need to call my ins company to see if they will reimburse for some of it. Some wellness programs will. Either way I plan on going for it first chance.
