Gutted - gain this week. Despite staying within my calorie goal, and plenty of exercise.

Yes, it is my job, my business, but we have had 8 week summer break, and it was during that time that I joined MFP. This weekend last year, I got a rare brain virus, spent 6 weeks in hospital, 6 weeks on a zimmer frame, then learnt to walk again and moved back home in late November. Went back to teaching (30 minutes at a…

Thank you all! I'm spoilt for choice now ! The only other time I was on a diet, was when I was 17, and put on a high protein diet, so I have been struggling occasionally keeping within the boundaries on here. Thanks for explanations and ideas...I've got a lot of calories left to play with .

Aye upp!

i don't have anything helpful to say that hasn't already been said, but I couldn't just view this and not comment, so I'm sending you hugs, all the way from North Yorkshire, and hoping that the replies you have had will give you strength and comfort.

Well done - really chuffed for you !

Well my weigh in wasn't what I hoped for- but some of that could be down to TOM. My measurements are dropping steadily though, so that's a good sign. I have walked more in the past few weeks than I can remember. My goal for next week is to eat clean. I hope you all see the numbers decreasing when you weigh in today!

Monday : 1126 calories on a 9 mile walk Tuesday: 707 calories on a 6 and a bit mile walk. I was very tempted to hitch a lift on a donkey when I was faced with the last incline. I'm finding it a bit daunting if I am honest...

Hope it heals well, that sounds painful.
-
Thank you - not sure I will be able to walk at all tomorrow though!!
-
I've managed 1126 today - a 9 mile walk, along the cliffs and back again. Not bad considering I was in a wheelchair 10 months ago. I'm still using a crutch though.
-
Ooh that sounds good! Thanks for sharing.
-
I'm in, starting today - I need to up my ante, especially when it is raining! Here goes- good luck to all!

I love this happy dance, but love the fact that the group has lost so much even more!

I've just read through the last couple of pages, as I've been away since Sunday. Well done everyone! Sounds like we are all keeping focussed and spurred on by this group. I was a bit dubious about 4 days in a hotel, and then I had to add a 5th, as it meant eating out for every meal, and I love to try different things. I…

Aww thank you, and Im going to follow your example and start the wall press ups. To think I used to do 'crucifix' press ups and now I'm dubious about doing kneeling ones (all my knee ligaments and tendons have been damaged which doesn't help!). Have a great Sunday!

I'm away now for a four day business conference, I get back Weds eve. It is a full programme, starting at 08 15 through til the evening, so I hope I can get some walking in somewhere. I'm a bit concerned about conference and hotel food, I really don't want to mess up. I won't be able to weigh in til I am back home, but…

A-MAZ-ING and so inspirational. Well done, and thanks for sharing:happy:

Oh dear, I was measuring everyday - but then I didn't have a scale, today was my first 24 hours with a scale, so perhaps I can be less obsessive/diligent* from now on. *delete as necessary

My goal for the week is to actually track my water.I take a bottle with me on my walks, and spend the rest of the day drinking decaf back tea.Yesterday evening I bought a bottle and it's been everywhere with me today, but I haven't opened it yet!

I emailed mine too, on Weds morning - let me know if I should resend :flowerforyou:

Thank you Mark, 'tis done. I also bought a kitchen scale - so it's precision from here on in:smile:

Love my Ninja, it's used at least daily !

Massive thanks again to all of you who commented and gave me advice. I wish I could get to a Target, as it would mean I was on holiday in the States, as it is I am on the rainy, but very beautiful East Coast of the UK. I'm going to stick with the measuring, and watching clothes get roomier for the time being. If I can make…

I think I was lucky, as it wasn't anything wrong with my legs, the bones, muscles and cartilage didn't need to heal - it was my brain unable to send the right messages. Sometimes, in the early days, I looked like a cross between a drunkard and a long distance walker at the end of a marathon, as I slalomed back and forth -…
